Cliff, The Parthenon and a string t shirt, what a perfect combination!
Saw Sir Cliff at Wembley a couple of years ago - he was brilliant.
Behind us sat three women 'of a certain age' . Cliff took off his leather jacket onstage and handed it to a beautiful blonde behind him. Simaltaneously the three women behind us turned to each other and said "Bitch"!!
elvis was 1st rate singer who had better voices than black psinging to vasley large eople elvis went black people festifuls they really enjoyed it he taught them how to sing elvis is the creator of rock and roll then black people start it black people kinged him as the crown of rock and roll
Another great memory tune from Sir Cliff. Though I was anxious to outgrow the ballad scene by 64, this one has stayed part of my "historeeee" somehow.
you talk crap media wanted to much from him he never blew talent he had it always performing for public you aint raised millions for charities he has who are you to judge you know him dont judge who you dont know
you may practice the piano ,flute, accordion, tibetan finger cymbals, but there is one instrument we carry around with us all the time,OUR VOICE!! sing along with this tune and notice how he places each note perfectly in the accompiament,Cliff may be a joke to some people, but i would love to see them try and match this performance.

i hate how sad songs nowadays always have a disturbing psychotic tinge on them. why cant they be sad but still sweet like this?

This resonates with me because it's a "torch" song. It's easy to identify with Cliff in the role of the lonely unrequited lover.

At one point there it seems he tries to inject an Elvis Presley inclination into his voice.
Very good - but oh that vest!

Elvis was at best a 3rd rate singer.
Plenty of black singers had better voices than he had, and their originals were vastly superior to his.
