So if I get sore immediately after or 24 hours after an exercise, than that means that my body is undergoing the adaptive response to create more muscle? I always workout to where I can't do another rep, but my soreness can be pretty modest.
This is kind of bullshit. Yes you need to train with weights high as possible but if you go to gym every week you need to find out your maximum and then train about 75-90% of maximum what you can do. Training maximum all time is dangerous, Your legs, your back are starting to cause you a lot of pain. Worst of all you will have heart problems.
i agree 100%. i lifted intensely at 14 years old. By the time i was 16 i got really good results for me. By the time i was 18 i started having joint pain. Now that i've had a few surgeries and i'm 23 years old, i started lifting weights i can control perfectly and increasing the weight by 2.5LBs every week. I feel better this way, ad i'm seeing some muscle growth come back. MOst of these guys that go heavy, can't walk and move when they are in their 50s because of joint problems
@qrafzv It all depends on how you work out. Carbs provide energy. Energy is required to get a good work out. I highly suggest eating carbs when necessary but also ensuring to get a good work out.
Hey, I usually do try to push myself and it works but usually I get bored after a month or two and I end up getting detrained, what do you think is the best way to vary training???
@mnaece I'd recommend developing a variety of muscle exercises that challenge different areas of your body that are important for muscle growth. Not only that, but it sounds like you might be going to the gym alone. Get a weight lifting partner and motivate each other to push your body to the next level. Someone by your side who is like minded and going after the same goals as you can definitely make a difference than going at it alone, which is what I think you might be doing. I could be wrong
@Kolashov LMAO! I hear where you're coming from bro. However, many people have the inner drive, but have 0 support. Also, a lot of things happen in life that can take a toll on things we want to do personally. It might sound like excuses, but it's life. Sometimes, you're own inner drive isn't enough & by having a partner or mentor to push you beyond your own limits, you'll shape into the "badass" u want to be. Everyone has to start somewhere & it's the ones that keep moving forward that make it.
There are no excuses to be made. you can still train when you lose your legs , or when your parents die or whatever. (in fact you could use that frustration and anger to train harder)
with all due respect , i'm very stuborn on this , in fact , i lost my GF cause she way holding me down.
EXCUSES ARE FOR THE WEAK , there is not to be bargained with that basic rule.
@Kolashov I agree. You can make your muscles grow or you can make excuses, but you can't do both! My only point is that it helps to have someone keep you accountable. Essentially you have to do the work. If I work out with someone,I'm not pushing their weight & mine. But I'll be there to push them mentally,so they can eventually break through on their own. It's all about support. Some people have it, some don't. For those who don't,they have to have an inner drive like u or a partner.
hey man i feel like ya shoulda added in what reps and sets to do for the proper muscle growth. intensity is definitely key but i can see where an individual could get on here and not know which sets to do and then not gain anything in the gym.... was wondering if you have anything on sets and reps like 3x8 to increase muscle size, and lower reps per set to increase motor neuron recruitment, etc? thanks man
@TheNextHendrix14 Hey sorry I took so long to respond. I've never used bowflex, however I've always heard that you have to get the right type of model that allows full range of muscle movement. Some models may not allow the full range and if that's the case, your cheating your body of its maximum potential for muscle growth. We cover muscle growth in detail at the site.
Sorry it took me so long to respond. But with proper training and eating I defnitely feel you can gain muscle mass and see a significant change within 2-4 months. However, it really depends on your definition of "significant". Set realistic goals and then come up with a plan to achieve them. You can get more info on this over at the website. Just click the link in the description or go to truemusclegainsecrets [dot] com Hope that helps!
Pretty good video! My little brother actually asked me this question today. lol He said, Bro What is the fastest way to gain muscle mass... and I said..."Hell if I know!" lol But then I found this video, so I guess I'll just send him the link.... Sweet!
