Please edit this video and mentioned to your listeners that you used Control-C to break out of that "while (true) do" loop. It would REALLY freak out someone who tried it and didn't know how to break out of the loop with Control-C!!
You sound young for someone so adept at shell scripting and I'm sure many other aspects of software manipulation. I hope one day you ditch the Mac for Linux and start writing software that is opensource and free for everyone to use.

As for switching to linux: I do use linux sometimes, but never seriously. The main reason I use mac is because of the Cocoa framework. I truly can't find a better, more beautiful equivalent of Cocoa on any other OS.
