  • I GOT THE SAME BASS BUT I WISH I COULD DO THT!!!!!!

  • the thing i don't like about this video is that the guitar, drum and etc. is too loud and you can't always hear the bass-line. the etc's are overpowering the kick-bottom-bass-line. fix this in a new vid. please. :D <3<3<3<3a fellow bottom-buzzer (aka. bass player)

  • Holy fucking shit. That's the first time I've been blown away by bass since watching Billy Sheehan's bass solo.

  • @Scarecrow545 Thanks for the comment!

  • Mean bass

  • I'm back again. What bass strings and amp did you use in this vid? I really dig that deep crunchy tone. Great bass playing!

  • @megaluisdeth I use Dean Markley blue steel 45 - 105 bass strings. I've been using these strings for years and I can't complain. I used an Ampeg SVT-410hlf cab along with my Ampeg SVT-3Pro head for this video. I've been using this cab and head for awhile and I've always loved the sound. Thanks for watching!

  • You're bass is very similar to mine. I have an SR505. It's just the 5-string version. I don't have many videos in the Death Metal sub-genre though. I think you're incredible though.

  • @fatfatat444 Thanks for the comment! I really like the 5-string version of this bass as well as the 4-string version. Each are versatile instruments that sound amazing. Thanks for watching!

  • @fatfatat444 Not really death metal, more like shit "technical" metal. He's a good technical player though.

  • What SR model is that? :o

  • @phillip357 That's an older version of the Ibanez SR500. The newer version has a couple extra features. Thanks for watching!

  • Crazy!

  • How long did it take you so can play that clean? and how long have you been playing?

  • @megaluisdeth I've been playing bass for 15 years. It took me some time to cleanly tap though. I started out tapping simple patterns slowly until I could play them perfectly. Then I started to elaborate on certain tapping patterns and really worked on my right hand techniques. Thanks for the comment!

  • Wow dude ur amazing I really love your tone can u please tell me ur equalizer settings :(

  • @AxozOfDeth Thanks man! I use an Ampeg SVT-3Pro head with a dbx single channel 31-band graphic eq. I try to bring up the high mids to cut through when I'm tapping. I keep the lows and highs up to a moderate level, but I always try to work with the high mids to cut through a little better.

  • Can you please post some sort of tableture? I know i can play this but your going so fast i cant hear the notes lol your amzing man keep it up.

  • @KennethBaker123 I just posted another video of a tapping pattern I like to use slowed down (search "Bass Tapping Technique - Shane Lentz"). I do a lot of variations on this pattern so I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment!

  • damn......... thats crazy

  • How is your bass set up? What strings are you using and what adjustments, if any were made? You rock!!!!

  • @mrcollins63 That bass is tuned down several steps with a lower action. I only made minor adjustments when I first bought the bass (minor truss rod adjustment with a little tweaking for intonation). I use Dean Markley Blue Steel 45 - 105 bass strings. I've been buying these strings for several years and I have no complaints. Thanks for the comment!

  • Amazing.

  • Great bass, I have the same one! I'm just gobsmacked at your technique!!

  • @suggittthrash Thanks!!

  • FUCK YES

  • your my hero dude idk how you do it

  • Jesus Shane.

  • shane, you're rediculous dude
