Ok, so now they are going to keep her till the 17th, that should give them enough time to get a real bruiser into her cell block, on purpose, to beat the shit out of her and or get her into a fight so they can extend her sentence for 6 more months or a year. People might disagree with the verdict which is fine, but they cannot say that justice was not done. Most people either forget or don't have never considered is that justice is carried out in the process of the system and not necessarily in the resulting verdict. This was a fair trial. The prosecution presented its evidence, but they failed to persuade the jury that she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt which is the benchmark of any criminal case. Justice was served.
But the result sucked.

All kids duct tape their nose, mouth, and face, and hide in triple wrapped trash coffins in a swamp, while their mother the next day goes out and celebrates their death. That Peterson case was weird, every aspect of it. Even the little things were weird. I just double checked and looked at a Laci Peterson poster: Brown Hair and Eyes, medium complexion. She was Portuguese, at least on her father's side that is a much more evocative description than that on the posters. We are talking 'olive tone' way more expressive than medium.

There was plenty of evidence you must have not watched the trial - but i guess the jurors must have wanted it captured on tape because the lying testimony from detectives, experts not reporting her missing child wasnt enough.

They fucked themselves over on that one. She got charged for lying. Were you not paying attention to the video? There wasn't enough evidence to charge her for murder. Ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? Anthony was proven not guilty. Quit being ignorant and looking for someone to blame. I believe she did it.

@DecentralizedByGuilt I'm 17, I don't watch Nancy Grace or any television for that matter. I clearly said she was proven innocent in her trial, but she more than likely did it. There simply wasn't enough evidence to convict her of the murder though.

@davida3606 Another ignorant person. The OJ case is nothing like this. There jury did their job in this case. They went off of the evidence presented by the prosecution and the defenses closing statement (Where Baez completely destroyed all credible evidence) and they found her not guilt. BASED OFF OF EVIDENCE. Go to the middle east if you don't want people to have trials and just be sentenced to death without a trial.

@gerfall I believe it shows how ignorant the American justice system is. These "ignorant Americans" know better. I think someone needed to explain what "reasonable" means to the jury. Every piece of evidence had an alternate explanation but when put together they constructed an amazing set of improbabilities and coincidences that weren't likely to have happened. Conversely, the explanation of the prosecution, that Casey murdered her daughter, made everything fit together perfectly.
