  • I love this song period

  • I wouldn't call it racist. I call it an eye for an eye. Turn-about is fair play. If he's gotta listen to Polk music played at 200db in -his- yard, why -shouldn't- they be subjected to bluegrass from with in -his- domain?

  • I enjoyed this version very much.

    I takes me way back!

It would be a bonus to see the actual artists.

Tom T. Hall did a great cover of the song,

but the person who says that Tom wrote it

is misinformed. Not to worry, I had to do

homework to discover that Tony Hazzard

wrote this classic. With and without nit picking,

pun intended, thanks to whoever posted this gem!

  • This song was written by Tony Hazzard for Manfred Mann c. 1968.

  • don't you mean Doc WATSON?

  • Tom T Hall wrote it

  • I am alos curious as to why a pic of Bill mOnroe was used...

Still a fantastic rendition of this song!

  • love this ..its my fav song ..but im using at extreme volumes to make my mexican neighbors STFU

  • @muziklover1302 That's just racist.

  • One of the great bluegrass songs

  • So why are you showing a picture of Bill Monroe and Doc Warson??

  • Sorry, I did´nt want your psychic balance to collapse...

  • @hgwiechie Your sense of humor coincides with mine. Love it.

  • agh i love it!!, why there isnt more traditional music being played today idk

  • WISH IT ACTUALLY PLAYED THROUGH

  • That's so good.

  • At least post a picture of the Country Gentlemen with this song as it is probably the best 4 part harmony there ever was in bluegrass.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!! Thanks for posting!

  • This was recorded on the Live in Japan album but this is not the cut from the album. This is from a much later album in 1989. It was recorded live in Alexandria, Va.

  • Ooooooh ! I like it !

  • This is Charlie Waller and The Country Gentlemen. It is from the album World's Best Bluegrass Show I think. The album had J.D. Crowe and the New South, The Gents and the Seldom Scene. Recorded around 1989 or so.

  • Jstrathm1 is correct.

  • great song

  • It is the Country Gentelmen. Randy Waller singing lead.

  • That is Charlie Waller singing lead, not Randy. This was recorded in the 80's with Kent Dowell, Rick Allred and Bill Yates in the group.

  • This song is from "Live in Japan" 1971.

    Charlie Waller,Bill Emerson,Doyle Lawson,Bill Yetes.

    I showed this Live.

  • This isn't either Doc Watson, nor Bill Monroe nor his band..
