@onegaisti I am a mustang lover and that is not a V6 210 hp look at it close the side badge is a 4.6 and the rear has the stock dual exhaust. It is a 4.6 liter mustang.

@94preludedude - especially if you consider the weight savings commonly over looked by gutting out ps, abs, and ac systems. when you take it all out and have it in front of you its alot of weight and space
@tonymadhouse See the difference here is when we swap a motor into a Mustang its usually 351w based. So instead of getting 200 hp and 145 ft/lb of torque from our motor swaps, we usually see anywhere from 450-550 hp and around 500 ft/lb of torque. Enjoy your little plastic Japanese toys. If you want to make big power then you can come play in V8 land, but only if you have your big boy pants on.
a stock type r dc2 intergra will only run low 14s isnt all that great but it kept up with the turbo 4s at our track day. the type r isnt all in the engine, it has the lighter firmer recaro racing seats better brakes couple strut braces in the end it weighs a heap less but ive seen SIR civics etc jst as fast as type r's they arent realy all that special
man the 5.0 has 165hp and a b16 has 160hp... the difference... mustang=5.0liters and civic b16=1.6 liters. how sad. i think i have said enough...but then again who am i to judge what i dont like...

ive seen a 2000 yes 2000 whp 5.0 mustang. i will give you that civics can beat SOME mustangs. im not saying a mustang will take a vette. and and the 05-09 gets 65.2 per liter lmao. with a wooping 300 hp (stock) and b16s are 4 valve twin cam. the 5.0 in this race is a SOHC 2 valve and is also almost stock. if the mustang had some decent mods as full exhaust and cams the type r wouldnt stand a chance. and also the type r is gutted to the metal.

This mustang is actually one of the slowest, heaviest mustangs ever made, so this is no great victory, go race a 4.6L Mach 1 or GT and see how it turns out

civics are barley cheaper than mustangs at all, you can get a decent 5.0 foxbody mustang from $2000-5000 mods and parts are cheap and common and a foxbody with a few bolt ons can easily match a stripped out, mildly modified civic. And yes i know the civic is a way smaller motor but, a 5.0 V8 is really old technology, pushrods, 2V heads, cast iron block & heads, this style of engine has been in use since pre-1950s compare that to a SOHC or DOHC, 4V head and usually a turbo its a pretty even match

So instead of getting 200 hp and 145 ft/lb of torque from our motor swaps, we usually see anywhere from 450-550 hp and around 500 ft/lb of torque. Enjoy your little plastic Japanese toys. If you want to make big power then you can come play in V8 land, but only if you have your big boy pants on.

a stock type r dc2 intergra will only run low 14s isnt all that great but it kept up with the turbo 4s at our track day. the type r isnt all in the engine, it has the lighter firmer recaro racing seats better brakes couple strut braces in the end it weighs a heap less but ive seen SIR civics etc jst as fast as type r's they arent realy all that special

ive seen a 2000 yes 2000 whp 5.0 mustang. i will give you that civics can beat SOME mustangs. im not saying a mustang will take a vette. and and the 05-09 gets 65.2 per liter lmao. with a wooping 300 hp (stock) and b16s are 4 valve twin cam. the 5.0 in this race is a SOHC 2 valve and is also almost stock. if the mustang had some decent mods as full exhaust and cams the type r wouldnt stand a chance. and also the type r is gutted to the metal.

The mustang lost for mulitple reasons
1. It's a P.O.S underpowered, overweight SN95, one of the worst mustangs ever made I'm a ford guy and even I can see it's shit.
2. The mustang is obviously stock and probably automatic
3. The civic is stripped out and has a better engine swapped in
4. On top of all that the mustang is a convertible so it's even heavier than a normal SN95 coupe.
So basically if the mustang had the same mods as the civic or if they were both stock the mustang would have won

This mustang is actually one of the slowest, heaviest mustangs ever made, so this is no great victory, go race a 4.6L Mach 1 or GT and see how it turns out

It was by far the best mustang made in my opinion i wish they made them in the newer body style. All in all the civic are great cars for grocery's or a race it just depends on how deep your pockets go. the cobra is more expensive to mod but comes pretty ready to rock. i choose american bc im american but different stroke ya know

civics are barley cheaper than mustangs at all, you can get a decent 5.0 foxbody mustang from $2000-5000 mods and parts are cheap and common and a foxbody with a few bolt ons can easily match a stripped out, mildly modified civic. And yes i know the civic is a way smaller motor but, a 5.0 V8 is really old technology, pushrods, 2V heads, cast iron block & heads, this style of engine has been in use since pre-1950s compare that to a SOHC or DOHC, 4V head and usually a turbo its a pretty even match
