After all these years, my wife and I finally got to meet Joe here. Like the dumb-ass that I am, all I could muster was "I love you man!{But dammit, I MEANT it!} I take solace in that although he seemed fragile at Oktoberfest,he was having a BLAST! {He was REALLY digging the hotties from U.C's dance team!} That will be my last great memory of him,and it's hard to believe that he died just 2 months later. R.I.P Nuxie!

Thanks Joe. Even after the responses you recieved during your illnesses I am not sure you fully understood how well you were loved. Never have I seen people on TV and heard people on the radio cry so much. You will always be a part of the the Cincinnati Reds history. We miss you. Rest in peace.

God Bless Joe's family, and I'm sure all the player;s up there were glad to see ya round the 3rd and make it home. Thank you for always being a hometown boy, I don't know if the baseball fans around the country truly know what you did for Hamilton and the Reds, my son's 13 and his Grandpa always let him know what a great guy ya were just growing up in hamilton with you and I know you've inspired us all around here just to remember our roots.
