  • In 1974, in Caracas, Venezuela, Foreman's and Ken Norton who was 30–2, who had broken the jaw of Muhammad Ali while defeating Ali on points a year earlier.

  • wow, norton was good, but if neglected.

as Ali, one of the greatest of all time. but greatly favored by the judges in the fights against norton, shavers, frazier, Bonavena and young.

  • Big George baby!!!!!

  • Foreman punched like a sledgehammer, tremendous power that would stop a steam train.

  • Toss out the one Ali fight (which was fought at 3:00 in the morning in f'n Africa with the whole continent rooting for Ali), George Foreman was the best fighter of the 70's. Ali barely squeeked by Norton (actually Norton was robbed once), who Foreman killed and Frazier - who Foreman destroyed twice within 2 rounds.

  • @aitraining interesting point, fight fans have gotta love Ali, but if there had been a rematch after the rumble, then foreman would have been favourite again. Now in the late 60's Ali was amazing, but after his layoff he was a diffferent man.

  • @tms1234567 Haha, Howard Cossel always said the same thing. ''Muhammad you're not the same man you were 10 years ago'' Muhammad Ali would always say: Well I asked your wife and she told me your not the same man you were TWO YEARS ago haha

  • man foreman a dirty son of a gun in the fight hittin him when he's down or been downed, in this day and age he woulda been screwed and kenny woulda got the W

  • Foreman was a monster. Power to burn in both hands with any punch, underrated footwork, great chin and brutal finishing. Stop in front of him or try to trade and you're in deep shit. What a shame he couldn't keep his head together.

Coming back in his 40's to win the title again was something else too. This version of Foreman would give Vitali Klitschko all he could handle imo.

  • foreman was up in his face before that count was over like, "yea I whooped that ass " with his hand in the air...lmfao

  • He aint getting up! lol Boxers just don't swing like that no more!!!

  • that knockout was nasty. you could tell George was hungry for it

  • I just walched Foreman VS 5 Men. A WWF style boxing curcus with Ali sitting in the audiance yelling at Forman nearly the whole time. Foremen was a mad animal.

  • "That nigga is mean!" Richard Pryor on George Foreman & Ken Norton

  • Haha I bet you when Foreman was looking down at Norton he was telepathically telling him that he better not talk shit about his idea for a fat reducing grill ever again!jk jk

  • I like the crab defense that he used at the end of his boxing career. He said he got the idea from norton.

  • ken was the man who broke ali's jaw, but my god, he had an ugly style.. look like a retarded kid fighting..

  • Ive never saw George Foreman tired yet george foreman havent lately heard the man say round 4....round 7 round 13 last round

  • LoL @ Foreman staring down Norton at the end "You want some more son?" 5:59

  • George's power was so unreal. He could hurt you with either hand. He was a beast in there.

  • yo brownbballa i was lol

  • yo brownbballa iwas lol

  • remember this was a classic era! ali <frazier<foreman<norton! and they all fought old sonny liston ,old floyd patterson, they never ducked eachother like fighters do now? watch norton v ali at yankee staduim! norton was robbed,he broke alis jaw ? the crowd knew it so did ali !he almost refused to rase his hand ! norton was well underated?? foreman was a monster ????

  • Big George knew how to finish guys. He was amazing in an era of greats. Besides the Ali fight, he killed them all - not just beat them. Frazier twice and Norton within 2 rounds. Not even close.

  • Richard Pryor did some standup about this fight - search for Richard Pryor talks about "Boxing, Exorcist" - Midnight Special

  • ken nortons son was a great football player

  • @brucedavis76 Should of stayed in football boxing isn't his thing. Good to gain experience and give it a attempt thou, I admire his attempt.

  • Foreman was not 6'3. He was about an inch bigger than Norton,Ali and Lyle who were all 6'3. Foreman was really more like 6'4.

  • fore done a job on him..you can hear Ali inbetween rounds..so funny!

  • the referee is a dirty scumbag

  • Why does the first round always seem like the longest round in the fight?

  • Thumbs up if you were directed to this through Richard Pryor

  • @brownbballa yea

  • @brownbballa lol dats awesome

  • Why in the hell are you guys discussing the ethics of eating animals on a fight video?

  • young Foreman would whoop Ali's ass in a rematch

  • @beast28274 Young Ali would whoop young Foreman's ass.

    Foreman = Brawler

    Ali = Out-boxer.

Foreman is more of a slugger, and Ali would beat that by staying out of range of foreman's hard hitting hands and utilize the jab.

  • @zymethrox ali did beat formen

  • @jorge43273 Yeah, but I meant "young" ali vs "young" foreman. When they're still fresh in their prime.

  • @zymethrox Foreman was young, he was onlty 24, he was just a big lump that looked older

  • @beast28274 Wouldn't have happened,EVER. Initailly,I thought Foreman would crush Ali. After seeing the fight,I realized why George didn't have the style to beat Ali. Formean needed something of a stationary target. Ali moved, made him lunge & bear in mind,Ali's ability to take a punch was underrated.

  • Fuckin hippies...I thought they all died out

  • @MeAndMyFamily1992 Ain't dead yet.

  • @spactick why dont you worry about the billions of cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, horses, seals, fish, veal, etc. thatare being butchered to death? save bleeding beings first and stop eating them, then we can cry over a piece of lettuce together

  • @spactick why dont you worry about the billions of cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, horses, seals, fish, veal, etc. thatare being butchered to death? save bleeding beings first and stop eating them, then we can cry over a piece of lettuce together!!!

  • norton is a vegan now, i wish more peopel cared about murdered animals for human taste buds.

  • @normalguyable people do care about animals, but you gotta admit they taste awfully good. and some animals I believe are "here" to be eaten. agree?

  • @spactick disgaree, animals feel pain and love. we should show them love, and love is not hanging a cow upside down and slicing its throat as it fights for its life. watch earthlings on you tube and meet your meat. animals are sentient beings, who should not be used and abused for a few seconds of joy in your mouth.

  • 4man just ponderous!! ali cudda beat this guy 100x in a row

  • This is da fight that made me love Foreman. Norton is an all time great and a guy like big george just whooped him da whole fight. I have respect for these 2 fighters.

  • I had forgotten how clumsy Foreman was. That's not a knock on him because he's one of my all time favorites but he looks a little awkward at times with his punches and not smIooth as some guys.

It's funny how boxing is sometimes. Norton and Frazier went toe to toe with Ali and Foreman destroyed them. Then, Ali destroys Foreman.

  • Foreman is a power house !!!!

  • foreman wouldve never caught a young mike tyson. how many rounds do you think foreman couldve withstood tysons power probably 3-6

  • @Mrrmegaton foreman would have murdered tyson

  • @messier991102 Are you kidding? Don King kicked the shit out of Mikey. And he didn't even have to train. ha ha ha

  • foreman knew how to box ... something that has been abit lost now days

  • Is this Goebbels? I thought they fought in the 1970's

  • Foreman just punishes guys!

  • You may as well get hit with a bat, of course that may not quite hurt as bad.

  • holy crap! this makes Ali look even greater!

  • Any real boxing fans know that with tyson's style, foreman would catch him with a beautiful ko blow in the mid to late rounds...

  • George was a beast back then. Look at his shoulders. DAMN!

  • Funny reading all your expert opinions.

No one knows who would beat who, so just relax

  • Foreman's a priest now. If you don't show up for church on sunday, he'll whoop your ass

  • That ref was seriously going to let it go? What a zipperhead.

  • george foreman would have knocked out Marciano in a few rounds

  • George Foreman used to train by fighting bulls with his gloves on.

  • George Foreman used to train by chopping down oak trees with his gloves on.

  • norton was no good against hard punchers damn

he thought ernie shavers was going to knock him out in the 1st no kind of heart

real power foreman dropped norton with an arm punch

by the way check out my page

  • Norton was absolutely shitpants scared of Foreman and ended up being exposed as Foreman's bitch. Norton was never worth a shit against sluggers.

  • punch me mandingo!

  • man he is just playing with norton look at how he knocked him out

mike tyson was fast in close range but if george foreman would hit him then he would be ko'd

  • Foreman hurt Norton with almost every punch; the body shots were awesome. Norton wasn't used to being backed up like he was and you can tell he knew he was under powered this night. Norton didn't have the skills to change; for him it was out power his opponent but he couldn't out slug big George Foreman. The only men to beat George had better boxing skills, but nobody ever out slugged him

  • why would that payaso ref even give him a chance to stand at the very end

  • Hey great site for these fights and much much more.

    w w w . b o x i n g c a r e e r d v d s. c o m

  • Foreman = Powerfull Bear!

  • I like the contrast between George and Rocky. They both hit like a freight train but Rocky's punches look like they hurt. George's punches look like love taps until you see the guy explode into a thousand pieces.

  • That was back when Foreman REALLY hit hard. Way harder than the fat Foreman.

Too bad this Foreman couldn't have fought Mike Tyson. I think he'd have clobbered him. Tyson had to get inside to throw his best punches.

  • @kozmon0t

George was a bigger puncher as he got older, though he was obviously less mobile and less of a killer.

  • those last 4 punches said "got...you...now...sucka"

  • george foreman = scary motherfucker

  • Foreman is one scary slugger.

  • great ref though..he wasn't so quick to call it like most do

  • PPL SAY SHAVES WAS ALOT HARDER HITTER TEN FOEMAN THATS BULL SHIT!!! the reson shaves won 1st agienst ken norten so fast is becuse.. he just stratet going 2 the body if foeman det the same think as Shaves ken norten well be down all time Shaves was not the hardstet hitter ..IT WAS FOEMAN!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BunBRIP Bro,not only ppl,ALI,CHUVALO,HOLMES,all og this guys said than shavers was the hardest puncher

  • Im proud of that fight, it was made in Venezuela :)

  • Now i understand why Ali not give REMATCH to George Foreman

because Ali had great difficulty in overcoming Boxers like Ken Norton and Joe Frazier..... Boxers Foreman defeated without difficulty !! Probably Ali and his clan knew Ali was very lucky has won at Zair because it gives the appearance that he has been scheming so that the REMATCH Ali / Foreman is never held

that Ali is considered the greatest heavyweight of all time . The clan Ali knew in a REMATCH Foreman would win very easily .

  • @frank581949

Foreman was a total mental disaster after Zaire, do you really think he would beat Ali? You know a fuck about Boxing

  • Ken Norton was a very good heavyweight, but I disagree with his election to the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Only the very best should be in the Hall of Fame and IMHO, Norton was not one of the best heavyweights of all time.

  • In my humble opinion the Greatest Heavyweight of all time was George Foreman because Ali has always denied the REMATCH to Foreman probably Ali scared Foreman in a REMATCH I just do not see any reason of the fact Foreman has not had its REMATCH .

Knowing that Ali / Norton there were 3 rematch and I think Ali / Frazier there were also three rematch . A very great injustice has been done at Foreman . I therefore request to the Federation of Boxing to report GF the greatest of all

  • @frank581949 You have raised a very good & interesting point.

Beating 2 "monster" boxers made the Ali legend. Beating Sonny Liston made Ali great. But beating George Foreman made Ali immortal. It was his greatest achievement. But he was probably scared that George would have learnt his lesson in a re-match. Remember, in the run-in to the fight, people were not just worried about Ali losing. They were afraid for his very life !

  • @frank581949

If you go there then Foreman shouldn't have ducked LARRY HOLMES who trained with and simular to Ali. Why go after an aging Ali (who by 1977 couldn't even beat Norton, Holmes, Jimmy Young etc. etc.) when there's an excellent Larry Holmes. Ali was almost done after the Thrilla fight. He should've just quit after that hard fight.

So by 1978/79 there's a fresh undefeated Larry Holmes ready for the challenge. But instead Foreman RETIRES!

So maybe Foreman is NOT the greatest.

  • @frank581949 No, Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all. 25 title defenses, 21 KOs, 17 of whom did not make the count. Foreman lost to Jimmy Young after Ali..He tried to KO 5 stiffs in T.O. Then he quit. Good decision. Became a minister, got a life and then came back a wiser man and a smarter fighter. There is no way Foreman could have beaten Ali at this time. His head was all messed up. But he claims even now he was poisoned by Sandy Sadler who is long dead and can't defend himself.

  • I now understand why Ali not give REMATCH to George Foreman

because Ali had great difficulty in overcoming Boxers like Ken Norton and Joe Frazier.....

  • @frank581949 I now understand why Ali called him mummy : ) )

  • @frank581949 foreman was finished after the ali fight ali may have done much physical damage but george sunk into a deep depression afterwards he struggled against opponents who weren't in his league ali destroyed him as a man and it took nearly twenty years for him to pick up the pieces

  • @frank581949 Of course Foreman would have won,Ali was already in early stages of parkinsons at the time and couldn't keep up like he used to.

He lost to Trevor Berbick, who he would of destroyed a decade earlier.

  • another victory for big hitting george foreman and another title defence won .

    jason louis-fernand.

  • Foreman would have kicked the shit out of Tyson in his prime. No question.

  • @spactick and thats only what u think george was too flat footed and slow his arm speed was too slow, and thats only what i think so who's right?

  • @21jasonh he was physically way too big. Mikey would have had a problem getting to Foreman. He had much more arm reach. Much more weight advantage. If Mikey had gotten hit by Georgey, Mikey would have been laid out like a old beach towel. I think when you have a 20 lb advantage over an opponent? you should be in another division. Foreman should have been in the (what I would call) pre obese division.

  • @spactick yeah sure :) Tyson in his best was twice faster then Foreman and had at least the same punch stgenrgh as Forman so ... I do not think so

  • that what I just said deosn't mean I do not like George or somethng I like him a lot as a boxer, I just think Tyson is much better even with Georges record which is really impressive :)

  • @spactick tyson in his prime had great head movement speed everything angelo dundee said tyson is the only swarm in fighter that would have a chance vs foreman

  • @cainepittman2 it's a toss-up for any of those top ranked heavy weights of the past. on any given night one could have taken out the other. foreman,tyson,quarry,clay/ali,frazier, marciano , etc; any of them had the punching power to take out anyone. anyone. like they say? it just takes one properly placed punch to ruin a fighters nite. heck, joe louis probably in his prime could have kicked anyone's ass. who knows? they were all great in their own way.

  • @spactick yeah man im amutar fighter i want to be a all time great tp

  • @spactick tyson had more power and speed, and was a better technical boxer. tyson would knock him out after 6 rounds

  • @DavidTheBoxer96 who Foreman or Marciano? cus Foreman is a much bigger man. he had a much longer reach and thus could have kept "Mikey" at a distance. one punch (properly placed) could have ruined Mikey's evening. VS Marciano? you'd naturally think that Tyson would have pounded Marciano, but that's what they said about every opponent ( Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles etc; etc;) and he just went about pounding the shit out of them. That was one fucking tuff "Dago" (hope your not Italian) cont-

  • @spactick "one properly placed punch could have ruined mikey's evening". That goes both ways. Tyson moved twice as fast as foreman..all these hard punches that people talk about foreman throwing..Tyson did the same punches with twice the speed which equals...more power. and another thing people dont get is the snap that you put on a punch. which is why they called Tyson the "dynamite kid". dynamite/snap. basically the same thing. Foreman didnt use that...he used the big man power shots

  • @250honda It's all speculation, but I think if you were to ask someone who was going to win the Tyson VS Douglas match the night before? I doubt you would have found too many people taking Douglas in that match. Agreed? The only thing you can do is imagine the outcome of these fantasy matches. I saw the Clay VS Liston match, and believe me everyone wanted to see Liston pound the shit out of Clay. And, we all know what happened in that "match". Although alot of people question that outcome.

  • @250honda tysons power came from his speed

foremans power came from his strength

imho foreman hit harder than tyson yes he was slower but he deffinately had a better chin than tyson and theres no way on earth tyson wouldve frightened foreman

ps didnt tyson duck foreman when he was in his 40s?

  • @DavidTheBoxer96 cont. pound for pound? I"d put Marciano up against anyone. Period. The only thing is, he was very often fighting fighters who were older and larger than he was. So he unfortunately got bad press for those uncontrollable circumstances. Today Marciano would be a light-heavy weight or cruiser weight, certainly not a heavy weight.

  • @spactick

i agree with you tysons power came from his speed and ferocity foreman was a bloody great bear with huge natural power

foreman had a MUCH better chin than tyson he took some big punches and completely ignored them

frazier was a similer type of boxer to tyson (that wouldve been a great fight imho frazier wouldnt fear tyson like almost everybody else did) and foreman nearly killed him

  • @eatthisvr6 very creative match-up eatthisvr6 Frazier VS Tyson. brilliant. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone coming up with that match-up. One could just imagine. I'd have to put my money on Tyson, although Mikey would have his hands full with Frazier. I would have paid $1000 to sit ringside for that one eatthisvr.

  • did he break nortons jaw?

  • @eatthisvr6 did Foreman break Nortons jaw? I don't know, but I think Norton wished he's never met Mr. Foreman. That was an ol' ass kickin period. Kinda embarressing really. But I have to respect Norton for even getting in the ring with Foreman. He was kinda scary.

  • @spactick Foreman gave Norton drain bamage.

  • @undeadpresident it's called brain damage. not drain bamage. brain damage. alright? you got it? but Foreman did not do either. Norton's just fine. He drives cab in L.A.

  • @undeadpresident so your a promoter of selling and distributing drugs? really? the problem with that open kinda mentality is that you can't always predict what the outcome will be for (all) people who use drugs. I've been to several funerals of personal friends of mine who've had "that" opinion. I'm not against doing drugs, but I think it best that we don't glorify something that can be devastating to "some" people.

  • @spactick Cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms, and peyote should be legal. Nobody dies from those. I don't glorify them or tell everyone to do it. It's just wrong that people are persecuted for using them. Understanding and respect are what is needed, not fear and intolerance.

  • @undeadpresident so your into drugs, right? alright. Look, you can make an argument for anything if you want. Heck, you could say that everyone should be armed with uzi's. but i kinda think that would lend itself toward alot of unnessary deaths. i.e. people shooting people for cutting in front of them at the grocery store. people shooting other people for not agreeing with them during a debate. people shooting other people because they don't like the way their dressed etc; etc;

  • @undeadpresident cont. but the truth is society decided along time ago that "everyone" having weapons is probably a bad idea.......same thing with drugs. not everyone can control them. so society has decided to control them. makes sense to me. no?

  • @spactick First of all, people can and do own and carry weapons. Second, I never suggested that everyone should use drugs, only that several drugs should not be illegal.

Just because you choose not to do something, doesn't mean you have the right to force that personal decision onto everyone else.

I use no drug on a daily basis. Meanwhile, many so-called "anti-drug" crusaders use caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol, in complete denial of their hypocrasy.

  • @undeadpresident no prob, it's just that your giving the "generic" druggie argument that drugs should be legal and proliferate through-out society. I've been hearing that argument since the 1960's. Again tho, it's a false assumption. You can't allow something as dangerous as say "LSD" to be taken by any clueless college kid. I've known WAY too many people who's lives have been destroyed by drugs. Tell me undeadperson? do you think that cigarettes should be sold to anyone who wants them?

  • @undeadpresident ON A DAILY BASIS? ha ha ha ha, oh I see. you only do crack on the weekends. ha ha ha dude, if you can with a strait-face say that there's no difference between crank and coffee? then I'm afraid we're not living in the same time zone. I live here in San Francisco. I went thru the whole Haight Ashbury thing in the 60's. I watched totally sane people become insane. People who were intelligent productive people, who became useless to themselves and everyone else around them.

  • @spactick You don't seem to understand that everyone uses drugs, even yourself, unless you have never drank coffee or beer, smoked a cigarette, or taken cold medicine, which I'm sure you have.

I don't support legalizing crack cocaine or meth. Why do you assume I do? You are the one who seems insane to me. You keep attacking straw people.

  • @undeadpresident Don't get me wrong. I"m not some fascist/ nazi right-wing anti drug person. It's just that I've seen what the "tolerant" open minded approach to drugs has done to the black community in this country, and it's a complete disaster. I'd be a lier if I told you I never did drugs, but that's just my point. I've done every drug imaginable. Pot,heroin, cocaine,Lsd, etc; no name it. And I can tell you that those conservative/ right wing zealots who were warning us back then in the (cont)

  • @undeadpresident (cont.) 60's to BEWARE of heroin, mushrooms, cocaine etc; they were right. Don't take them lightly. Because if you do, you'll regret it. I knew people that took one hit of LSD back in the late 60's who never came back from that high. It changed them forever. They're personalities were completely transformed. I knew people who gave their cats (as in kitty cats) huge doses of LSD. No shit. Those animals became totally paranoid. They were afraid of mice. No joke.

  • @spactick Mushrooms aren't bad unless you don't respect them, but then again so is anything. Heroin is terrible though, as is meth and crack. There have been many studies done actually showing positive psychological effects from consuming psilocybin mushrooms. Of course, if one doesn't respect any drug then they can harm themself, a danger which exists regardless of the legality of the substance.

  • @spactick

BULLSHIT, I know people love to hate on Tyson but the man had the BEST bob and weave counter in boxing history. He woulda made shortwork of someone with loose defense like Foreman.

  • @TheWatcher666 Calm down. I don't hate Tyson. Fact is, I love Mikey. In fact, the animal planet (cable channel) has a realitiy TV program on tonite (sunday) about him and his pigeons. Check it out. That being said, Foreman would have crushed little Mikey. And you know it. Foreman should have come with a warning label. BEWARE; POTENTIALLY HARMFUL

  • @TheWatcher666 uhh no frazier has the best bob n weave highest slip % of hw

  • @TheWatcher666 Wrong watcher. Tyson ducked Foreman even when he was old. Foreman was way stronger than Tyson. He would burst 100lb bags dude.

So know what your talking about. Tyson just gives us a peek on how strong guys were

back in the day. Foreman could also go 15rounds Tyson cant go past 6 lol

  • @spactick you're right...

in my opinion is tyson the best (most succesfull/undisputed) champ ever....BUT....

big george is the only one i think that could have beat Tyson (i mean the CHANCE is there) in both their primes...

  • @temmink2010 Ali...The Greatest of all time. Ali would no doubt beat tyson in his prime and he has already beat beat foreman.

  • Comment removed

  • @nathnastyman you shoudnt say that cause they didnt fight eachother...

you should have said it like ME...

I THINK, and not for sure!!!

the CHANCE is there, also for ALI, but in my opinion is Tyson better then Ali on aswell Technical as on the Power aspect and with Foreman they match on strenght (and there is Foremans advantage...he is Bigger and has a bigger reach)

so advantage wise i give it to Big George and NOT to ALI...

  • @temmink2010 yes Foreman has them advantages, but Ali is smarter, faster and he had the better heart, and thats why Ali beat him in there fight.

  • @spactick come on, foreman poor defense. A jimmy young nearly ko´ed Foreman. Are Jimmy Young a better boxer than Tyson ?

  • Fuckin' Foreman rules!!

  • you want a great fight....LITTLE RICHARD..VS....RICHARD SIMMONS.....

  • @darrylhaynes Carrot Top vs. Brett Michaels!

  • @darrylhaynes no way dude. Liberace would have kicked their ass.

  • both guys norton and foreman were great fighters but foreman proved he was greater i love mike tyson but i think foreman is the biggest puncher in boxing history

  • I forgot just how awkward Norton was in the ring. Ali called refered to his strange way of covering himself up under attack the sherman tank.

  • Foreman is one of the top 5 best fighters of all time, without a doubt.

  • @johnbirch1973 I agree. I hated seeing Norton kicked beat-up the way he did. He's a nice guy. A gentleman and you hate to see that type of person embarressed.

  • @thorsten393 Lol i dont think so, Wladimir is a hard puncher and way to fast and big for George Foreman.

  • @knockup100 foreman have fought in one of the best areas of boxing. cant compare it with wladimir. He was in his 40's and still won a belt because the boxers of the last 20 years aren't as great as the boxers of the 70's and 80's (holmes and tyson)

  • God damn..german in the foreground and Bob Sheridan in the background can it get anymore annoying ?!

  • Big Geroge stalks his man like Rocky Marciano did, putting some hurt on their opponents. I can't recall anyone backing up Big George.

  • @chucknchar Well have you seen Foremans fight against Jimmi Young?

  • Foreman may have been brutal, but he was certainly a gentleman and a sportsman for coming over to his opponent and seeing that he was alright. Gotta respect a fighter that does that. Gotta.

  • @spactick At tha same time it look like Foreman was walking over to Norton with a look on his face as if he was saying "Do you want some more?" It could go either way.

  • @spactick I don't think so. If you look at other fights that he had, he would always go over to the other fighters corner and see if he needed some medical help. LOL Now that's a gentleman :) Foreman was an animal. And I don't mean a cha wow wa.

  • it was like (norton) a boy fighting ( foreman) a man

  • Never seen Norton give anyone so much respect for a guy whose known to never back up. Foreman does a good job cutting off the ring and beating the snot out of that little piggy. PS: I believe a prime Tyson with Cus in the corner would beat Ali with a surprising UD! Ali would simply lose too many of the early rds and doesn't have the power to KO Tyson = dancing/clinching in second half of fight.

  • @CptBoomstick you're right. Tyson would have beaten Ali...when he was past his prime. Not a chance in the Liston, Cleveland Williams era. Liston had a fantastic jab and combinations and he simply couldn't hit Ali(Clay). His punches were also very fast and he had exceptional reach and still couldn't hit Ali. Watch those two fight and give the man the respect he deserves.

Personally, I think a fighter should be judged in his prime. Otherwise, watching Tyson get KO'd we'd think he was slow, etc.

  • @davidleealford Can't compare Tyson to Liston. Liston was slow and half of his fights were rigged, especially the Ali bouts. A better comparison would be Floyd Patterson. Imagine if Floyd was 3x faster, 3x more powerful, and 3x the chin. Imagine Floyd coming forward instead of in constant retreat, peek-a-boo isn't effective going backwards. I don't see a prime Ali able to do much against a prime Tyson except for dance around and jab. Just my opinion and not taking anything away from Ali.

  • Foreman despised Norton and just kicked his ass. Glared in his face after smashing him. Rightfully so, Mandingo?

  • Why Foreman was faced Norton in the end of the fight?

  • Another fight with the Germans!

  • I remember at time, when Forman destroyed Frazier and Norton, that Ali had lost to both of them. It stood to reason, one would think, that Ali wouldn't have a chance in Zaire. But After seeing these clips, Foreman had some real trouble with his defense and hand speed. Ali was much quicker and a better boxer; he just matched up well with Foreman. Foreman rarely went many rounds and tired in the heat.

  • He knocked down Norton with an arm uppercut. no body weight behind, no momentum, just George lifting his arm up there. impressive power

  • Foreman is the only boxer i've seen that only goes one direction, onwards,

and everyone he fights moves backwards, or they get KTFO

  • @crashburnerz ,that was the foreman characteristic that ali took advantage of.Now,frazier also had that relentlessness but frazier had more endurance.
