see now this is what's sad.. it doesn't surprise me that this commercial didn't do well-- commercials have to appeal to people with a very limited sense of humor because they make up such a large proportion of the audience. Only a small amount of people will find this commercial funny, or atleast interesting.. the rest will dismiss it as stupid and pointless.

Actually I'd argue a far greater percentage of Apple users ARE aware that they could build their own and OSX will run on any modern Intel but...

It's not very easy to do on 99% even with the perfect processor. With a few exceptions such as the Dell and Lenovo netbooks it's very difficult to do w/o a tremendous amount of support and custom kext files from very smart linux/osx people.

I've done it several times and almost impossible with most desktops to get everything working.
