Rule #1 if you can't see ribs or any real protruding bones the horse is NOT malnourished. This horse is obviously young and just needs to fill out. She wasn't over working this horse either as the horse was relaxed and responding to her beautifully. Never judge a book by its cover!
two year oldsaare when the training should begin. thats why thoroughbreds are raced at two years old. thoroughbreds were bred to mature faster btu not that much faster.

That horse is in TERRIBLE condition and should NOT be ridden till he fills out! he has no muscle :(
on the other hand, its great to rescue. a lot of people dont think of turning to rescue for horses

i totally agree,
i mean sure what there doing is brilliant but at least get the horse in good condition first.
PippaHardman 3 years ago
mhm. could ruin him instead of fix him
but, they are the ones out there doing it and thats better than doing nothing for sure
ADRASTOSindeimos 3 years ago
yeah definately.
PippaHardman 3 years ago
its not in terrible condition, you cant see its ribs, its rump doesn't have as much muscle as it should but its not too bad
91cowgirl 2 years ago
yeah i guess looking back at the beggining i can see that his ribs are not showing, its the neck that makes him look so bad, hardly any muscle to it.
ADRASTOSindeimos 2 years ago 3
@91cowgirl its skinny, malnurished, and under muscled/weight
