@LILDONOVANXX The best arm, quickest release, most acurate, blocks better than any catcher, knows what runners are going to do before the runner does in most cases an sticks up for his team. Mauer is a better hitter.

@tng150 I agree, lots of people have very strong arms. Yadi's career CS% of 46 shows a quick release with accuracy is way more effective than just having a strong arm.

@jcdixon97 yea and the cardinals pitchers have great pickoff moves, some teams like the Red Sox have a guy with a gun for an arm like Varitek, but the pitchers dont even give the guy a look, Tek had I shit you not, an 85% CS for TEam Usa but like a high 30 at best in the pros

@tng150 Varitek has had a good career, he's been the face of the franchise for a long time now. What helps Molina as much as pitchers holding runners is his 40 career pickoffs by himself. It's doubtful he'll ever catch Pudge (88) or Bob Boone (76) but I would say most runners are just as afraid of Yadi picking them off first or second as they are the pitchers Lol. It's not a stat that's talked about much, but it does effect a game. Santiago was pretty good at it too.
