  • that girl on the far left has the longest legs ever!

  • OMG r u serious.. THEY ARE JST INCREDIBLE :O

  • wow, they're all very good. you can tell that they're very disciplined and have good technique..

  • I wish I was this clean and precise when I danced.. one day, one day.

  • i love how orderly they are when they switch groups!

  • how old are they?

  • @cocobabyballerina The usually start the school at 10 or 11. Since the levels are for each year, these girls are 15 or 16.

  • Wow, beautiful long legs :) jealous!

  • I like how uncluttered the combinations are. I feel like teachers just cram a bunch of steps together sometimes...

  • yeah if you're working right you have to be sweating right in the first plié! ;)

  • are they in custom leo's... love the cut!!!!!

anyone know what special diet they are on... i was wondering as they are thin and muscly! (that's from dancing as well obviously!)

  • the technique is amazing but theres no feeling in what in there dancing it looks like there doing it because they have to

  • I don't see the floppy arms you're talking about. If anything, their arms and head are very definitely placed. Even SAB students at the same grade couldn't place their arms as consistently as these students do, and SAB is the best ballet school in the States. You want to see floppy arms and wrists? watch a class at SAB. Balanchine technique emphasized many things but careful placement of the arms and the use of the upper body and head were not among them.

  • @avesraggiana i agree with you. i've had SAB girls come take classes at my studio and their arms are TERRIBLE. i get so angry, why don't they correct them!? nothing like the video here.

  • these girls dont look very tired. i'd definitely be sweating buckets if i did this kind of stuff

  • when people do ballet do they sweat?

  • um.. of course!! why wouldn't we?

  • are you serious????

wow. never heard that one before.

  • uhm yeah its a lot of hard work. you try doing it. my teacher says you are supposed to be sweating if you are doing everything right

  • i love ballet :DD

    these girls all stayed together..!

but 2 of the girls werent the best out there...

  • I love the girl in the back left around 5:20. Who is she???

  • omg i do my frappés to that music!

  • haha! i know which part u are talking bout! is grade 6 frappe! lol!

  • omg exactly =0

    cool^^

  • My teacher uses this music too. =p

  • me 2!!

  • i look so crap against them and i'm also doing a fulltime ballet in an academy OO

  • gorgeous technique!

-really puts my awful turnout to shame!!

    these exersizes look so fun!

    xxx

  • They teach these dancers very well, except they should smile a bit and not look like they're in prison!!!

  • OMFG... I feel sooo fat compared to them. I am soooo gonna be a vegetarian now!!!

  • being vegetarian doesn't make you loose weight.

and don't compare yourself to them unless you have been dancing litterally 50 hours a week for the past 10 years.

they are slim because of the amount of excersize they do. not dieting.

i hate all these proana&dieting comments.

  • Actually, to be honest with you, I do over 20 hours a week dancing. And yes, I looked it up. Vegetarians are slimmer because of the amount of healthy foods they eat. Remember, vegetables are veggies and if u only have vegtables in ur diet, how fat can u be? NADA! Lolz... I dance 5 times a week for 4 hours a day, and thats more than 50 hours a week for the past 10 years!

  • not necessarily.

i'm vegetarian and the same weight as was before i became one.

thats a bullshit assumption though - especially if you found it on the internet. to stay healthy, you need to replace meat with a mixture of carbs and dark green vegetables. if you only eat vegetables thats really unhealthy. your weight is determined by having the right or wrong ratio of fats:carbs:veg:protein.

  • look up a healthy athletes diet. you'll see there are so many carbs!! cos they also need slowrealease glucose.

if you just look for it generally, you'll find loads of pro ana stuff and unscientifical stuff people have made up.

plus, it is a known that unless you eat protein after excercise, you won't have gained any strencth at all.

  • erm you do realise that such fulltime ballet schools actually CHOOSE the type of body shape of their dancers since young.

Their parents bring them for a full body 'interview' and the madames look for potential since then and look out for things like tailbone arch degree, natural foot arch, thin calves/thighs, body shape etc etc

  • ^Exactly. When they audition, they make sure that everything is close to the "ideal" dancer.

  • No,

The picture on the wall is Rudolf Nureyev.

  • Rudik is Rudolph Nureyev, I think...

  • Just want to ask the big picture hang on the wall... was it Rudik?

  • skinny!!!

  • yeah really, i feel so fat.

  • Have you got the lessons of the boys too?I would be very interested....If you have, please upload them!Thank you!

  • You only have to change your diet!
