  • hiliarous spoof

  • [hums the theme to Clutch Cargo]

  • huh...HAHAHOHHHASNOCKSHIZZLEHAHASNORT>>>!

This is a scream to anyone who grew up in the Sixties. My brothers and me always thought that, somehow, they had actual people's lips behind the pictures. I think the technology was invented by a photographer as a way to animate animal mouths speaking.

  • lol

  • funny that the 60s were better at the mouth-moving thing than you are

  • That is funny! Ha!

  • hahahahahahahaha very funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey bud breath, If clutch cargo knew you made this video he'd kick your effen nuts in. DON'T MESS WITH CLUTCH CARGO!

    I've known him since 1963,

you've been warned, and don't do anything wierd with spinner either home boy.

  • Wow, you just gave me the "what for".

  • @JohnsonBrand2000

Hey man its all in fun, I'm 53 and I was watching clutch when I was 6 years old. I guess he must have been a role model since my dad could have given 3 shits about me. Thanks for the reply. By the way, Wazzz up!

  • I am Clutch Cargo and I approve this message.

  • It started with the bud commercial, and was played out after about 10min. But we will forever be cursed to here it from 30 something drunk people.

  • crack up laughing!!!!

  • I CANT REMEMBER how the entire "waaaa zupppp" thing started. Anyone know?

  • It was originally a short film. Then some ad guys saw it and sold the idea to Budweiser. The rest is history.

  • i remeber this a bit as a kid

  • Too funny!!

  • i love it

  • aaassssshhhooolllleeeeoooosssss.

  • lol

  • dude, that's awesome! Budweiser shouldn't have rejected that!

  • First, 9 out of 10 people have never seen Clutch Cargo, Second, they can't associate beer with ANY kid related programing. I knew they would never use it, but it was fun to do just the same!

    Thanks for the positive comments!

Please feel free to check out my other YouTube offerings!

  • Were they that cheap with the animation, geeez!

  • Yep! They were really that cheap!

  • I think they actually showed one of these in the movie "Pulp Fiction."

  • @JohnsonBrand2000 For the time, it was great stuff...and not so cheap. That was 1959 you know....no computers....no hand calculators....you actually had to do math. Can you do math?

  • Well, I'm not going to diminish the the talents and capabilities of the people behind Clutch Cargo, but to pretend that this is as good as it got in 1959 is just silly. Look at the stuff Chuck Jones, or even UPA were doing at this time. Their budgets were limited, but they made the most of their resources. Besides, '59 wasn't the dark ages. Computers and calculators did exist. They were just large! Did you work on Clutch Cargo?

  • Haw, Haw, Haw!

  • "That girl is hot bro, budweiser face so ugly?"

Quote by some drunken friends after saying WAZZUUUUPPP!

  • lol..sweet name

  • Hope you can pitch this for use on Super Bowl 43 in 2009!

  • that was so funny i loved it and will so watch more videos thanks for sending it to me bye bye

  • OMG, You are so great for this , so funny

  • I've always wondered how that came about...thanks Clutch Cargo!

  • now my seven year old sneeks in to play this....so funny ..

  • Your a legend whoever made this.

  • What is the relationship between Clutch Cargo and his "pal Spinner?"

  • Brilliant!

  • KEWL!!!!! TOO FUNNY!!! HA-ha-ha-ha!!!!

I like the "New & Improved" Clutch Cargo!

    Nice work!

  • WAZZZUPP!

  • Absolutely outstanding, ROFLMAO!!

  • Well done!!!!

  • Well done !!!!!

  • Laughed myself silly.

  • This is an excellent take on one of the weirdest cartoons ever! Even as a kid, I thought it was so "Huh? what's with their mouths?" that I watched it all the more. Great idea, very funny!!(this, not cartoon)-; well, it too, in a campy way

  • it's not funny at all...

Clutch was on my childhood memories, NOT BEER!

  • lol when he said Bud i thought he ment he was smoking a bud of pot

  • so did i...

  • Funny stuff. Thanks for sharing this!!

  • LOL that was great...top notch job guys....LOL

  • That was great = D

Totally better than the original ;)

  • Agreed....

  • Funny stuff, thanks for posting. Clutch Cargo was just a few years before my time ... and frankly I don't think I missed much.

  • Yes, I'm quite familiar with Clutch Cargo. That is why I chose to spoof it.

  • Spinner, the little boy; and the dog, Paddlefoot, were his close pals.

  • See my post, JohnsonBrand 2000. Clutch Cargo was a cartoon that was on TV back in the 60's. It was one of the cartoons featured on Sally Starr's Popeye Theater on WFIL (now WPVI), Channel 6, in Philadelphia.

  • How did you make this video? How did you make Clutch Cargo, a cartoon from back in the 60's, talk like today? How did you do this?

  • I captured stills from the original show, imported them into Photoshop to clean up the backgrounds and painted out the mouths. Then I shot my friend lip-syncing to the original audio. I loaded the all the parts into an AVID editing system and put it together.

I actually did this when the "Wassup" spot was still current several years ago. These days I could do a much better job compositing the lips, but what the hell. It's still fun as it is.

  • I'm glad so many people are enjoying it. Up until a few months ago, only about 10 people saw it, and half of them had no idea who Clutch Cargo even was!!

  • This video is just hilarious. Period. All-star rating.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done???? This is lack of imagination....Can't you leave the classics alone?. Bunch of non-creative morons that have to copy everything because their brains would not know the word creativity if it bit them on the ass...

  • Actually this project was part of an assignment I got from Leo Burnett, Budweiser's advertising agency. Bud was so pleased with the Superfriends spoof that was circulating the internet, they were interested in exploring other ways to spoof their popular spot. Needles to say, this one was rejected, but many other ideas came out of this exercise including the parrot spot, and the spot with the old ladies.

  • HAHAHA CLUTCH CARGO RULEZ!

  • amazing¡¡¡¡ i still remember his adventures.

  • Well Done!

  • Thanks for creating this!! I Love it.
