@MarkoMatic369 Yeah, I have to agree with you. Although Game Maker games can be a bit slower compared to other programming libraries (whose depend 100% of coding) but not much. I can still make some simple games using plain C++ (takes a lot of time but you learn a lot of it), but Game Maker is still too good.

Did you really animate the 3D Kirby on that GM game??

As far as I know, there's no way to import animated models in Game Maker... or it's just a sprite with a 3D Kirby that you captured from the original model?

@supergreenx Yes you can animate models in GM. You can also import animated models. In this video however, kirby is a render after it was animated in a program called anim8tor. The model was created for this vid, there was no "original" I could rip from.

Make a smash bros game I know that you think it's pointless, but popularity of the game can be high if you make one. I liked brawl, but not so much to be exact because the physics are annoying from dodges. :(

Thanks, but there doesn't seem to be any reason for any more Smash Bros games of any kind, because SSBB is piratically the new mugen thanks to hackers these days.

Though I do intend to make many many nice games, some of which are fighting games.

I hate it when games like this are made and they are totally just "thrown away" or cancelled. It's like you have all of that potential then you just quit? It really upsets me. It's not about "Oh I want a .gmk file" it's just "wow you have a lot of fans that probably REALLY wanted you to finish your game and now I have not seen anymore work on this game! This is like the only video. This would've turned out to be a great game too. I could just see it now. Who cares if its just like SSB(M)(B).

@Zeffa1234 All the potential has been transferred to different games we are working on. This was also one of the first engines I made for gamemaker and it turned out to be REALLY inefficient. Which is why I stopped it. Also, we are working on "better" games now, ones that are more original, and arguably more fun. Just wait and see, and give me some time. Normal games take 1 or 2 years to make with a crew of 200 or so. I'm doing everything myself so give me some time lol.

It's actually quite simple, too many users "show off" there "my first game" which was probably just one of the sample games with the graphics changed out. And because too many people do this, its the only thing that many people can see; a mountain of 'my first games' which do not impress anyone in anyway.

And to a lot of others, this wasn't made with the intention of making a ssb game, just to show that it's possible with GM, so no this will never be a polished game playable to the public

Graphics is not a limitation of the Game Maker, just the person making the game. The only real problem with Game Maker comes when your trying to handle many objects on the screen at the same time.

Everytime I download a gamemaker game from the Yoyogames site, I can't seem to run them (I mean the ones that are already EXE files, not the ones that you actually need GM installed to run them, I click on the exe and nothing happens, WTF is wrong?
