In one interview Gary said that, during the initial Take That days, he felt "defeated" when the producers asked them to make a cover of some old classic (Relight my fire ?). Because he consider himself a singer cum song writer. But here the guy is, on his solo album doing cover of a beautiful classic.

I am happy that his solo career never took off.. and even happier that they are back together as Take That.
