sound quality, build quality also how are the curve control settings on the input channels as I found the ones on the makie d.2 a bit sensitive around the 12 oclock position and found it hard to set up both the channels the same.
I have a vestax pmc 50a so I need some thing to sound as good as that but dont have any more than £500 to spend other wise I would get the4 ch fomula sound as its the only mixer with out bullshit on it.
I like my djm 800 plus I have yet to use 1 at a club most provide the djm 800 or 1000 I got to try out the evo I did like it as well but like I said most clubs will provide a pioneer
the djm 80 looks heavier and more metal like which is pretier but doesnt have the same sound quality as other high end dj mixers.
i own that mixer and iam preaty disapointed from the build quality and sound. its a fun \ reliable \ easy to use mixer plus looks good but isnt better than other mixers in terms of sound\ filters \ build quality.
the sound on ecler is def better then the pioneer - i like pioneer but it def does not sounds as good as ecler demo does not talk about that not sure why not ...allen and heath sounds as good and maybe a few others - rane sounds terrible....
now i'm using the evo4 for 1.5 week now and i wanne buy now the djm800, it feels like something missing on it. but that's not possible because you can do much more with the evo than a djm.
ecler is good for scratching too. especially if you get the eternal xfader. you definately DO NOT need an EVO 4 for scratching. efx would be useless but like Sword said...go with the Rane if you want top of the line stuff.
In Australia, the DJM-800 in around $1850AU VS. the NEW Ecler EVO4 is around $2500AU. So the choice is easy at the moment. The Ecler looks interesting though...nice layout.
i hate how fat the EQ knobs are on the eclar, it wouldnt be right easy flicking them fast to kill the bass when mixing. The djm 800 is perfect. Eclar mixer is quiet kool tho. But i love my djm800 too much.
goodbye to those mixers.....theyre old already move to pioneer djm 900 now!!!

i like pioneers CDJs and ecler's mixers, the evo 4 IMO kills te 800, i just like it more for effects and the build feels better.

Are the crossfaders midi enabled?
And yes, Ecler has supreme soundquality.. lots of headroom and great EQ's

I think a device that can not be compared to Pioneer.

Why no digital inputs on the ecler?? DJM-800 with the CDJ hooked into the digital input.. nothing comes close to the sound quality imho.

here is the evo4 €1200,- and the djm 800 €1400,- so for me hard decision.
(price's are from holland)
but i choose fot the ecler, i had before a ecler good qualty, and i tryed the 800 but the build qualty looks cheap. if you are used to ecler.
NLrvs 3 years ago
Been looking around since, managed to get it down to $2050AU including delivery...hopefully it might come down some more.

I wanne buy one of these mixers but i can't choose. What would you prefer for hardstyle (150 til 160 bpm)
I have now a ecler nuo5 love it but i want midi so both have it. So that's not the problem.
NLrvs 3 years ago
wow, i've never seen the rotary faders, i was thinking to myself, what the hell are they!! nice one... djm 800 wins ;)

House and Trance DJs love rotaries - it's all just a matter of personal preference.
