  • What do you feed your fire eel? Also how often?

  • so many random fish.oscars',GOLDFISH, sharks, and a fire ell. u must be a beginner

  • @nauris708 Not always. Some people like big mixes of fish when they all get along. I've seen people have African and South American cichlids together and they get along fine.

  • how do you know the difference of a male and female in the fishes that lay eggs?

  • fuck yah lamb of god!

    sick set up

  • I have mine with gravel and some hiding places and he uses both I always get a good laugh of trying to find him but then realizing that he is poking his head out of the gravel

  • li like your oscar. ive got 2 full grown ones. does the fire eel need sand or would gravel and a few places to hide be fine?

  • kinda lame setup, but lamb of god redeems you.

  • the fire eel isnt full grown yet right?

  • nice tank there ,what is that noise ?does it drive u mad

  • First of all this is the worst set up! And the reason is that you mixed species that shouldnt be mixed. For example goldfish, angelfish and shark....

  • took me a minute but finally realised there lamb of god in the background, beating on deaths door right?

  • how big is the eel?

  • what do you feed it at this size?

  • gold fish shrimp and live worms is what i feed my 3 eels

  • nice eel, identical to mine check it out

  • He looks kinda like my peacock eel.

  • kool sliver dollar how long u had him? how big is he? jus curious i find silver dollars really interestin :)

  • im gettting one soon, hopefully it will be active like that, my fucking tiretrack eel just sits in its hole all day like a pussy, its the biggest thing in my tank to the pansy

  • word me to dude!

  • the goldfish looks sad lol

  • its not an id shark its a paoon shark and it will eat that fire eel. paroon sharks will eat anything they can put in ther mouths.

  • lets hope the Fire Eel lives long enough to grow. Mine is 25inches long

  • FWI buddy paroon/id sharks are the same thing and there real name is pangasius catfish google that shit before you start bitching back to me thinking your right

  • I was just about to put that lol, your eel is the spitting image of mine.

  • Actually, they are two different species of fish. They are both in the Pangasius genus though. Paroons are larger than ID's and they both look a little different.

  • send me message i wanna get a fire eel i know where to buy and have 50-75 gallon tank and have blooworms and should i get it cuz i have a "jack dempsey" three 1 inch fish and a parrot fish so would they hirt it

  • I was thinking maybe I could get one when I get a bigger tank, but how big do they get? Not only how long but how wide???

  • in the wild they can get 3 feet long. but in tanks around 20 inches . if your looking for a smaller ell, striped peacock eels is what you want. they usually stay under a foot, and there max is a foot

  • oh ok, thanx. :D

  • variety of fish... what do u feed em??

  • Nice Fire Eel.

    How old is it

  • music sucks , its awful!!!

  • BIGGER TANK

  • what kinde of shark is that

  • paroon shark thats how they call them..i caant recognise if its a high fin though...

  • i think Its an Id Shark actually.

  • its an ID Shark

  • That music sucks big time.

  • Lamb Of God far from sucks.

    Nice aquarium my!

  • You mean "lamb of god" with a small "g". That song is so demonic it doesn't deserve a capital G. There's nothing godly about that song. That's why the fish look so tramatized.

  • The title of a band is capitalized. So I didn in fact mean, Lamb Of God. Has nothing to do with how godly the song is, in fact, this has nothing to do with god at all.

  • My bad, I stand corrected. The song is still demonic though.

  • nice tank i have a tank with and oscar, id shark, goldfish, and a peacock eel and more

  • look at the lil oscar haulin ass! cool video!

  • nice tank!!!!!! i also just got a fire eel and have 2 silver dollars, i algee eater, 1 corykat, 2 barbs, 1 guppie, 1 clownfish loach, and 1 bala shark

  • hope you have a big tank :)

  • yea, fire eels should be kept in 100+ gallon tank. Also, they aren't really eels, they are just called eels to help them sell. Most true eels are only found in SW although some pet shops sell the 'freshwater' moray eels, but these eels need brackish water to live, not freshwater like some stores sell them in. I have my 'freshwater' eel in a marine tank where he belongs.

  • wen ur all them fish grow to there full size they wont be able to move have u got a bigger tank for them to go in to?

  • i know since this video you have lost your shark , but i was wondering if you had any problems keeping him by himself ,since it is known to be a schooling fish. great set up cant wait to see the 400 gal vid...

  • How can you have all those fish in there, when most of your fish like different temperatures,it's just stressing them out.

  • Nice set up there, lots of species variety, but how does that goldfish fare with the tropical conditions? He's obviously very healthy in this vid, did you keep it in with this tank?

  • Thanks. The goldfish is doing great. He's been in that tank since March '06 and about a half inch in size.

  • is that an iridiscent shark? I heard those needed brackish to grow to adulthood...

  • yea that was an ID Shark, it was killed by my ornate polypterus shortly after this video was taken, and ID's are one of the few "sharks" out there that don't require brackish.

  • nice tank setup really best

  • Thanks :)

  • they grow to like 100cm

  • You've got really nice fish and an amazing set up mate. Have you got MSN?

  • What's that albino eel you've got?

  • There's a leucistic(white body black eyes) dojo/weather loach in there, and then shortly after I got the fire eel I added a baby albino senegal polypterus, also sold as "dinosaur eel" in some stores. The senegal isn't in this video though. It's hard to catch on film

  • i have an eel to.. i jus got him i was wondering whats best to feed them im feeding mine blood worms would baby guppies and ghost be good feeders to?

  • blood worms are good, so is mysis shrimp, around here it's called Cyclops. Mine has also eaten squid tentacles, thawed market shrimp, and mussels . Not sure on if yours will eat the guppy fry, It probably would. And most likely go for the ghost shrimp as well.

  • I can't order a fish tank because I live in the UK and there's a big chance that it will break on delivery. I went to my local fish store the other day to buy a heater and I saw Pelvicachromis Taeniatus or "Green Kribensis" and I saw a fluval tank that looked like an ideal size so I'm going to start saving for that lol.

  • cool, good luck getting the tank. I have to start saving up soon as well. I want to build a 400gallon tank for the basement so I can get a couple of arowanas(thinking 1 silver and 1 black) and some motoro stingrays.

  • It's difficult to answer lol. Urm, they spawned 3 times since I had them and that was about two months ago. I had one spawn when they ate the eggs and another one where they raised the fry and they spawned again and started attacking the fry so I had to move them in to my dads tank. There are fry in my cave now, they should be swimming around tomorrow or the day after. I wish I had the money to buy a big tank and get myself a nice fire eel like yours.

  • Check out some local fish clubs, you might be able to find some decent deals. At my fish club some dude was selling a 120g breeder tank (4ftx2ftx2ft) for $50. I would have grabbed it but I need to spare the room because a friend of mine is giving me his 250g in a year or so.

Sounds like you have a good breeding pair, just a shame they go after the fry like that.

  • Also if you're good with your hands and tools here's a site that will give you blue prints on building a tank. Just enter in the dimensions you want and which material you want to use and it does the rest garf. org/ tank/ BuildTank.asp try it without the spaces, youtube wouldn't let me post a direct link

  • I think you struck lucky with him, he's a beauty! My Kribs spawned again yesterday so I had to move all the previous batch in to my dads community tank. How is the eel doing now?

  • Thanks, I think I lucked out w/ him as well. Still constantly swimming around, always on display when I look over @ the tank. Once I pick up some more squid tentacles I'm going to attempt hand feeding with the eel, albino senegal, and my clarias catfish.

How often are the kribs breeding for you?

  • Cool. This sucks, I've looked everywhere for a second hand two foot fish tank but can't find one anywhere :(.

  • I don't like them that much anymore but I've gone off them recently, I've started listening to Disturbed a lot now. What's the minimum tank size for a Fire Eel?

  • I've seen them around the 2foot mark in a 120-125 but I will be putting mine into a 250 once it gets bigger.

  • Lamb Of God in the background? Good taste in music, haven't listend to them for months now. Nice fish, I'm breeding Kribensis at the moment, hoping to cross breed a Pelvicachromis Pulcher female with Apistogramma Cacatuoides male in a month or so. Nice video.

  • Thanks. What did you think of the latest Nile album? I thought it was pretty good. Good luck with your breeding project.

  • Thanks for the comments. I really lucked out with this eel, it's super active, never hiding and it eats any food I put in the tank, it loves squid tentacles and chopped market shrimp.

  • intersting fish combination cool

  • Love fire eels, wish mine'd come out more, your's got great colour. This tank has some interesting combinations, thanks for sharing.

  • OMG teh eel..
