I'm 6"2' and 215lbs (sigh) so it was a little tight but not overly. I drove 8 hours one day testing and was fine.

ill bet its a long way off from 1961....this one is reliable, has a greater degree of comfort than the old one and with things like antilocks, DSC, airbags and a great front crash safety rating, its much much safer.

Just because something is new it doesn't mean it's good. The original Mini was light years ahead of its time. It set new standards & did things that hadn't been thought of before. You can't say the same about the new Mini. It's just another euro hatch. It's also a very ugly, hamfisted copy of the original too

I suppose the question would be if the Mini had continued to evolve though the intervening years, what would it be like now. Given that it had to meet todays standards for performance, safety, usability how far off do you think the BMW "MINI" is from where a modern MIni should be?
