@Tent316 Pretty much, yeah. Knives are not made to be used like that though, to be fair, neither are batons. Still I'm pretty sure steel baton beats steel knife anytime, at the very least the edge is completely ruined.

Nonetheless, nitpicking a kung fu movie about its lack of fight realism is like nitpicking Star Wars for having total bullshit science. It's still an awesome scene.

Some people commented, why he didn't just stop his knife attack with his hands from the start, instead of using the baton? The guy in white from the start has a good defensive barrier and hasn't been weakened yet. Plus, he's a damn good fighter. If Donnie tried to take him on by hand from the start, there's no way he would've been able to do what he did at 2:56. Donnie wore him down first, slowing him down enough for an attack. It's like bombing an area before sending in the troops.
