@twitchyAMC I used to think that when i first got it. Now I really know how to tweak it I get amazing distortion sounds ( no offence to this guy's video but i think his tone is horrible ). It also might be your guitar, the podxt can really behave very differently with different guitars. Please also note that any of the factory settings relating to metal are poor and ALL need to be tweaked. If you want I'll send you a good metal configuration to start with. Cheers dude

@R34n1mated No problem, are you using it as a true pre-amp ( meaning plugging into a power amp and speaker box, ) or are you plugging it straight in a traditional amp ( combo or stack ) ? If you are using the second, make sure the amp sounds clean first and all EQ settings are at 12 o'clock. Don't hesitate to ask more specific questions as I would be happy to answer anything I possibly can. Also check out a guy called MartinMoyan0, he does good videos on YouTube for Line6. Cheers mate

the Distorsion of the gt 10 is better than POD xt live, and the effects too. But is nice cover. the most important is the tecnic that you have with the guitar.

the distortion tone its not that muddy its more of a scooped sharp distortion

try a mesa boogie setting

and have gain 6-7 bass up 10 mids 3 and treb 10

The Old Kramer is a good guitar but it is very cheap in Thailand.

Guitar sound is adjustable, but quality of production, shape, sustain are more important.
