  • i made two of these and put real metal pen springs to hold it open and then i put it between the handle bars and the front tire an it worked like real shocks. Of coarse i didn't sit on it. S oon ill try to post a vid of it

  • looks like a ritz crackers thing

  • A4 or regular plain white paper for the printer

  • the first spring is easy, but the second is harder

  • Comment removed

  • oh my god i cant figure out the first folds(12 up and down)(6across) please someone make a vid of that or give me instructions I'm so lost lol

  • im the same a dont get that part

  • I CANT MAKE THE SECOND PART

  • i have just made 2 of them the second one was alot easier than the 1st because you are use to doing the folds and technique more than the 1st time.

  • If you use 6 7/8 inches by 11 inches, the part were you fold to make 12 boxes. each box shouold be 5/8 inches(1/2 + 1/8 inch)They 6 fold side should be 1 and 6 1/2 /8 inches. Hope this helps, for whomever need the lengths. =P

  • i'ts paper A4?

  • with the video edition there's no way to see how you make the folding. I tried but it does not explain anything

  • Hello,

I don't know how to make the connecton that you show us in your video at 21 seconds. I can fold the first part, but how do i fold it to get the nice end that is needed?

  • I need help on this. How do I make the 6 folds on the long side and the 12 folds on the short side or whatever.

  • What size of paper did you use ?

  • An 8.5 by 11 inch piece of paper should be cut so that it is 5.875 (5 + 7/8) by 11 inches.

    Byebye

  • COOL, I GUESS

  • i need some help can you teach the folds please

  • thx man....that helped

  • Will you make a full tutorial on this?

  • i dont get how to make the first spiral, it just looks like a huge thing sticking out..

  • lol these are so easy and fun to make! Tho, why did u skip steps... I think you're trying to mess others up on making them... lol

  • I write in a origami newsletter, I did this video to show to my italins friends the stpes that they don't understand, missing the others that they don't need, that's all :)

  • o ok because at first, it confused me since you only showed twisting in counter-clockwise (I think) but I found out you reverse everytime... lol

  • @ZProjectKoreaZ where do you get the paper?

  • @ZProjectKoreaZ EASY?!?! You must be amazing at origami :) I am only kinda intermediate :( how long have you been folding origami?

  • I cannot fold the diagonals :( I folded the 6 rows by 12 rows somewhat easily- but just cannot figure out the diagonals.

  • HEY I DID IT! i got that weird 1st step thing... where theres a kinda 2-d cirle thing at the top! but i somehow got it inside...not outside....

  • I loved making these in 4th grade! Robert Lang's Origami in Action is one of my favorite books!

  • 4TH?? GRADE!!!!!??????

  • 4th grade!?!?!?!!?

  • Yeah, but now, I'm more interested in speedsolving the Rubik's cube.

If someone needs more help, I can make a video to try to explain more how to fold this if you like.

  • ....cool

  • how the f u do that?

  • guys dont go ahead an start making it.get

paper the size of 8 in a half in by 11 in an cut

2.8 in off th long side

  • geezz u guys should no that the second ring is a horizontal flat twist

  • ...It does happen, but only after a while of fumbling around with the paper. I think that is why the maker of this video edits that part out. I wish you would have left that part in (if only for the second ring), even if it takes a lot of time and gives viewers the impression that you don't know what you are doing. I'm going to practice making some more of these, and if I can find a clear way of doing it in less than 10 minutes, I'll make a video.

  • I've made 3 of these with instructions from Robert Lang's book "origami in action," and help from google and this video. The pre-creasing is easy, and there's a special way to do it that the webpage instructions describe. The second part, however, makes you want to cry. After making the first ring, it becomes so difficult that I still haven't come up with a method of making these come together smoothly....

  • I tried to make 2 seperate comments to get around the 500 char limit, but the first part got cut because I gave the url of the instructions. You can get to them by selecting the first search result of "spring into action origami" on google.

  • can you teach how to do that!

  • could you tell me the size of the paper? broad x long

    thanks

  • there's a diagram on google go check it

  • you have not 5 minutes spare time?

  • you must work a lot O_o

  • tomoko fuse is a master. i recommend buying all her books and amazing yourself. she's a great teacher and a true origami artist.

  • I absolutely agree, and she is such a nice person... :)

  • No!

Kamiya Satoshi and Robert Lang is the greatest origamist in the world!

  • it's so hard and youre so skilled, please help us

  • sensé can you make a slower more detailed clip of how you prepare the paper and then how to fold it and twist it with many details if you cant its ok i understand but you would help a lot of people

  • ok pal, I will do it soon as possible... I hope (you know, work, work and work) :)

  • thank you i got SO close but my creases are just not good enough i dont know how to set the paper up the right way :/
