Obama with one stroke of the pen has increased the debt by 3x of what it was. It took over 50 years to get to that point where we were; now it's 3x worse. This is a gross oversimplification of a very complex system. A recovery doesn't happen across the board in discrete steps. Though I think the Wall Street thieves should he the LAST people to see any benefit from a recovery, it takes a while for everything to filter down to the point that a company can start hiring again.

Nothing Kevin Brady is saying is true. The actions of the Obama administration prevented a depression that was being brought on by Republican policies(and a few Clinton policies).

Employment figures are trailing indicators, and can lag actual economic recovery by as much as two years.

Brady has also conveniently forgotten that budget deficits exploded under Reagan, Bush, and GWBush. He has a lot of gall accusing Democrats of borrowing and spending.
