@ciolamorta Eh...I learned on an underpowered steel frame cbr 600(the f2 to be exact a 91) so a bike like this wouldn't be particularly hard...but if your going to wheelie, get a bike made to do such, this old clapped out beast isn't where it's at...i give the old man props for the bunny hops though
it's not an 87, 87-90, and few in 91 have dual round lights. Most 91 to 93 have single like this one, looking at fairing alone I'd say this is a 91. 94 after, the sharper dual head lights were implemented with a few exceptions. So I call 91, won't be surprised if I was wrong though as the bike design changed only slightly each year.
You got a lot more to learn.... Bike won't disintergrate...Just a 5 valve per cylinder engine you should be cautious. its balanced awkwardingly as well if you do slow wheelies on it, it'll go crazy.
tell your dad to slip the clutch around 6000rpm in 2nd gear... and hold his right leg on rear breake just in case it pulls him back... and yeah be careful with throttle... too much of it and you can kiss the ground. btw nice fzr ;)
tell your dad not to clutch it up on his FZR unless he's got a billet clutch basket. the stock baskets on FZR-1000s are weak and can disintegrate from doing clutch wheelies.

i own a 1990 FZR 1000 and this bike is incredibly hard to wheelie. stock length is about 8 inches longer than a new bike and about 200 pounds more.

It's definitely a '93 model. The fairing's colour is not the original but the fuel tank's is and it's just like the FZR1000 I had back in '93.
