Bless you for getting him from a shelter. I'm a dog and animal lover too. He's really pretty and seems to behave way better than my two mutts, Harley and Brattie. You can see them in many of my videos on YouTube. Love your music...!!!
When I got Onyx, I was disabled and basically home bound for a month. We got to spend a lot of good quality time together bonding. I guess he is my Brother from another Mother. LOL Enjoy.
Hey Keni, what happened to the rest of Series 2? I can find Lesson 1A but that's all. I'm finally finding a bit of time to look more deeply into it. Will it be back or offered in a collection? Thanks and keep up the great work.
Thank you for your comment. Yes, Series 2 will be available for sale on ebay very soon. There was a slight delay in the pressing process. I think it should be available in about a week (6/20/08) The CD will include a downloadable sheet music tablature file just like Series 1. Sorry for the inconvience.
Having access to somebody who is passionate about teaching and sharing with others is so great. I will purchase your 2nd disc. Thanks keni, im laping up these lessons. I love teaching others for the pleasure too, but have struggle to get the same from people more skilled than me - that is until now. Blues is folk, its past down to others so thanks for keeping that tradition going
Thank you. When I first became interested in Bottleneck Guitar, I found it very difficult to find information that would take me further than rudimentary skills. It was only until I found teachers, that regularly played this style, that I finally felt I had learned enough tools to feel confident in my explorations. These lessons are for those individuals who find themselves in a simular situation; wanting to learn, but are limited due to nonavailablility of a Bottleneck teacher.
Thank you. Just like the first series, I've got some new and interesting ideas coming up for the second series, so please stay tuned. Thanks again, I really appreciate your support.
I was listening to another gentleman talking about the versatility of Open tuning the other day and he made an astute point:
You can use the same couple chord shapes you happen to know anywhere up or down the neck with predictable results each time, because with an open tuning, you can always just do a barre chord and add the shape just after from the barre chord.
Yes, that is the simple beauty of open tunings. It simplifies the instrument into one key. It is all about working with three part harmony. It is a very effective method. Thanks for sharing.
I am here with mi guitar tuning in G and waiting! I will buy your video about open G, I promise. Oh! By the way, nice dog. My dog look at me playing and I can see he think : "Why me! Why not buddhist silent meditation! Why a guitar!". I am trying to learn for my dog. Regards. Mike
Thank you. I will be posting soon. My dog gets enough silence. I think he likes it when I sit and play guitar, because he knows I'm home. He likes that the best.
yea i agree with Downhill240. there's no crime in makin a buck, if you don't want it you don't have to buy, and you don't have to whine about it, its great value anyway, it takes a lot of time and effort to make these videos and Kenilee does a good job, so lets hear it for Kenilee Burgess,,,,
Thank you. I'm looking forward to your ideas and suggestions. Please upload video responses if possible or write your ideas as comments as the lessons are posted.
I learned a few cbg tunes from your free youtube lessons now we have to pay, that sucks... seems everyone nowa days is using this site to try to make a buck once they see its usful lessons. What ever happend to doing it for the love of the music!!!!!!
I'm sorry you feel that way. Lesson series 1 was available for free for a long time on Youtube. Series 2 will be free. Series 1 is now available on a CD that contains a music tablature file. The CD is not expensive. Considering the price of lessons today, you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. In addition, I have answered all questioned that were asked. Thank you and I hope you continue into series 2. There will be more CBG.
Dude...If you had any idea what it would cost to get this kind of instruction with a tutor, or with most other video or audio tutorial makers, you wouldn't be kvetching.
Love your dog...!!!

His name is Onyx. He is a Cockapoo (aka Spoodle). Half poodle. Half Cocker Spaniel. I rescued him from a local shelter when he was one. Enjoy.
