Yes, I agree. The original was much better. What is this version from and when was it done? I hate it most of the time when artist come back and re-record their earlier hits. Buck Owens is one of the few that could get away with it and make the song even better as he did in 1973 with "Arms Full Of Empty". The faster tempo made a big difference in that song.
I remember this song from when I was a little girl, and when I was expecting my first baby, this song was all I wanted to listen to! Thanks for posting!
You took these words right out of my mouth;) as well, same at our house. 4 kids ages 48now to 36, I of course was the big Change in the house 8 yrs between my bro's & sistr. I WAS A daddy's girl...RIP_E.K.J_ 03/06/01
I remember singing this song a lot with my sister at the breakfast table when I was in third grade. Now I see why...it's bouncy...WBAP in Dallas must have been getting the listeners on the road! I can still remember the words. So cool Flash, thanks for posting.

THis is good, but the original is better with the late Buck Owens and Don Rich singing the backup.

Susan is such an awesome singer!
She goes to my church, and I have had the priviledge of singing with her on Sundays for worship. She's such a great lady!

She is not. Colin Raye was born Colin Wray. He later changed the spelling of his last name to Raye when he started his musical career.

Man, I totally forgot about this song! Her greatest song of all time is, without a doubt, "LAX." What a great song about a dumpy little airport.
