cjlprerunner you are correct, it is a HMS/Damon Jefferies Racing built truck. It is the sister truck to the one Damon used to race before he built his new trophy truck. Finally someone with some common sense posted on this.

For all of you morons that have no clue what this is, why don't you just search Nitro Circus Trophy Truck on youtube and lots more videos will come up. Videos with the body on it. Actual race footage. Or search True Racing/Nitro Circus Trophy Truck. I myself am on the pit crew for this TROPHY TRUCK and have posted the videos myself. It is not a TRUGGIE nor a CLASS 1. Damen Jefferies used to have the sister truck to this one and raced it in the trophy truck class in S.C.O.R.E. and did pretty good

Hey Kawasakirider, I think you need to do a little research before you start calling people liars. Have you even tried searching other videos of this truck? There is a compilation video on here from 2008 when this truck won the M.O.R.E. championship. Yes it does have an IRS but there is nothing in the rules that say you can't run an IRS in trophy truck class.

kawasakirider you can think whatever you want. It may have an IRS and rear engine but it is classified as a trophy truck by S.C.O.R.E. and all the other race sanctions. So before you come on here bashing people learn your facts. I heard the internet is a great way to do that. You are correct in one thing. The truck hasn't raced yet this season. But in 2009 it won the M.O.R.E. 500 and in 2008 won the M.O.R.E. championship. Just do a couple searches on youtube and see what comes up.

It's technically a Class one..but it races in the Trophy Truck class because it has the fiberglass body.

Class 1. Shocks and springs in the back are located above the axle. On a TT they would be located farther up to allow the rear suspension to have a large distance of travel. Plus it is smaller overall compared to a TT w/o panels.

haha, actually not really. This is a class 1 because it has IRS, independent rear suspension with no resemblance to a truck. TT's usually have a straight axle in the rear such as a 9in. or 10in. differentials, shocks mounted off of the lower trailing arms/links

its a truggy..look at the design of the front end. it comes to a poin at the nose. No part of the frame in front of the tires. A truggy is a trophy truck with no body on it. Meaning it has a solid rear end and not irs. Look at the Herbst "Landshark". Since this is IRS, i believe you CAN run this with no body panels in Class 1.

That isnt true at all, a truggy is a class one buggy built bigger like a trophy truck with a solid rear end axle. this car in the video is a HMS Trophy truck, with independant rear suspencion, so it could be considered a straight class one buggy untill the fenders are put on.

Both Class1 and Trophy trucks can have either IFS or live axle. They are open classes. meaning you can do whatever you want suspension wise. You can take the glass off a TT and run it in Class 1, likewise you can put truck glass on a Class 1 and run it in TT. The classes just designate open wheel for class 1's and 'modern truck body that matches motor' for the TT's.

Just because TTs are typcailly front engine live axle and Class 1s are typically rear engine IRS doesnt mean the rules mandate it.
