  • I remember buying Singles cheese the i think 15-20 pack for $20+ i was literally shitting myself but then we wanted toasted cheese sandwich for breakfast even though we would have bought them in sydney for only $6!

  • Chris's lady friend is really pretty!

  • wow that's a lot to carry on the subway. typically ppl buy a so much at costco, i don't know how i would carry all that home without a car. i agree that everyone will have a craving for bad/tasty food, but one common comment i heard a lot was that korean versions of different types of foods were less salty or sweet. that explains the westerner/american diet for you. americans eat a lot of bad food and often buy in bulk. that' just causes you to eat more.

  • But you didnt buy bread

  • Of Montreal! I love you guys even more! OOOOOOhhh AAAAahhhhhh~

You can just chill in the books section, eat free samples, run around, explore...etc...anyway I'll be sure to go to Costco if I ever go to Korea! ;p

  • how long were you in korea?

  • wow, it's exactly the same... that's it, if i live in a foreign country, it MUST have costco stores/warehouses! that way i could still feel like i'm at home. ^_^

  • I love you guys even more for having an Of Montreal song in this video. Neverthless one of my favourite ones.

  • So....Costco=Sam's????

  • OMG I SUBSCRIBE FOR BACON !!!

  • Wow. This is very interesting. I live right by the Costco in Carson City, Nevada and I shop at it as well.

  • Greetings,

Had a job interview at the Ajax Costco. The person supposed to be doing the interview told me to go sit down for a minute, then they went back and continued to do their work and disregarded me sitting there waiting for my interview. 20 minutes later no one came to interview me nor did anyone tell me that it was delayed. So in this situation they seemed to show no regard for the person being interviewed.

  • its just like sams

  • My dream has always been to live in Korea but having lived in US my whole (teensy) life I was wondering if the food difference is like really HUGE ^^*

  • Oh yea, I knew about the 술 사 sulsa thing lol I spelled it wrong but I suck at typing Korean characters :P

I learned that off variety shows with English subs because I only know syllable structure in Korean so far.

  • y is everybodies train sation better than ours

  • Is becoming a member required to shop at Costco?

  • @mhn7700 yes!

  • Baaaacon!

    Ahh, so Canadian.

    : )

    Any vegemite?

  • Woo! Costco! America!

How do you pay there? Here it's cash or American Express, anything else and they pull a gun on you.

  • @blahk04 cash or some samsung card

  • wow so wanna go there!!

  • Can you say Sushi infection?

  • lol old lady cart hahaha

  • I love your videos :) I was thinking to do the same as you (teach english), but in Japan... Just wanted to ask, did you learned how to talk Korean before you got there of did you learned by talking with people and living there ?

  • When Costco finally came to Taejon a few years ago it changed the lives of many expats living in Korea. Years ago the closest thing to a ham sandwich you could get was spam, tastless Seoul Brand processed cheese on corn bread with honey mustard. It was a life of substitutes. Costco and online delis run by expats have changed all that. Finally I would like to give a shout out for Nicedeli. Check out their online shop. Not affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer.

  • Everything tastes better with bacon!

  • chicken bake ftw best thing at the food court

  • I thought Costco was only in U.S and Canada!?

  • @m33lad it's in UK also ^^

  • Yay! They have Skippy peanutbutter in Korea!

(and yes, it did sound like Martina said "bwend" lol)

  • Yay! They have Skippy peanutbutter in Korea!

(and yes, it did sound like Martina said "bwend" lol)

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh mg---the pistashes cost that much---in wholesale?

  • So are the prices similar to the prices here in North America?

  • they're more expensive b/c most of them are imported. for instance their cheese are mostly imported b/c korea doesn't have a big cheese industry. the imported fruits can be quite pricey too. also costo's only in Seoul, and seoul has more of the richer population in the country

  • Thanks for sharing this. We are moving to Daejon in August and its good to know where we can go easy shopping for items we are familiar with.

  • costco sucks

    E.mart rules !!

  • @TheKidOfCleveland

you are a dumbass for thinking they went to korea just for the costco. they live there & teach there you moron.

  • there's bulgogi pizza? i make great bulgogi! but there bulgogi pizza? YUM! <3

  • do you believe in cheeses? i do. hahhahahha

  • I can't believe I just got this, I saw this video like 6 months ago and just NOW got it.

  • @CamButler what? the joke? hahahhha.. its really corny.. but funny too. =))

  • @TheKidOfCleveland They live in korea, of course korean costco is easier =3=

And they're teaching other foreigners that are gonna live in korea what is available in the korean costo as well.

  • @TheKidOfCleveland even though its a year later ur comment is stupid but its funny you think some one would go to another country just to go to costco lol wtf dnt call them dumbass think before u talk in this case comment

  • At 6:05, you put "Salsa is korean for Diarrhea"....hahahaha

It's not actually Salsa but SuhlSa is korean for diarrhea.

    You made me laugh....

  • Thank you all for trying to help each other learn more about how manage living in South Korea. I didn't know that vitamin supplements cost more in Korea.

Also, I'm learning about the different places to go around town. These videos about Korea are very helpful to business travelers and tourists in Korea.

I would like to see more videos of some affordable places to eat and sleep in Korea.

  • My mum's friend had the membership so they shared it(they check the ID card b4 enter) I loved the soft cookie and the giant pizza only around 12000₩ lol cheesy and very delicious. My mum went there to buy real western foods but I don't live in Korea now I live in totally western country NZ so foods taste kinda same and my toungues are also westernised lmao. But still eat kimchi everyday XD

  • That'd be really weird if i was talking to a Korean/American.

"Yeah yeah, I just LOVE Salsa, I just love it; can't get enough of it it."

They're nodding, but they're thinking something else in their minds. Teehee ^^

  • Do they sell Centrum? plz reply this comment, i need to buy centrum before Christmas but in little markets and YAGGUK its expensive. TT TT HELP

  • Cool video

  • consider movin into costco?

  • hay love the video what book's or audio's do you study to learn Korean plzz and thank you. loll

  • I don't know how they learned but a program called the Rosetta Stone is amaaaazing. You learn how to read, write, and speak all at once. It is a bit pricey but you can always find it through torrents. lol

  • cheese eating people

  • Actually its not salsa that means diarrhea in Korean. It's pronounced "sulsah". Almost does sound like salsa though.

  • I never realised how much cheese white North Americans eat! I live in the U.S. (am not white!) and probably eat cheese once a year--i.e., hardly ever.

  • I got that same bag of pistachios here and they're about the same price. I think it was about 14-15 USD which is about the same as 18000 won.

Haha diarrhea in Korean sounds more like Sulsa.

  • You can't find decent salsa? I've had no trouble finding spicy pace import salsa in local convenience stores and i live in total hickland.

  • i went to a korean costco. I could use my american costco card to get in. It was a really cool place

  • TILLAMOOK!!! hehe, it's from Oregon...nice to see that it can be found in Korea :)

  • how much is that in american money =)

  • Oh man.... Costco is paradise!!
