oh not to mention the hush hush of Zartan as well, all we see from the Cobras is Destro, The Doctor, Baroness and Storm Shadow and those soliders with the cool masks

everyone thinks that Cobra Commander....they have these "profile cards" under Google images stating he is The Doctor, the whole persona of Cobra Commander is hush hush, prolly the only thing exciting about this movie besides Snake Eyes

its the Rise of Cobra means by the end Cobra Commander will have a strong presense, to set up the sequel....remember Stephen Sommers loves his sequels whether he writes, directs or produced The Mummy and Scorpion Kings

The guy on the left at 0:07 is supposed to be Cobra Commander. A picture of the toy version leaked on the internet a few weeks ago. This movie is going to be terrible.

Actually he's known as "The Doctor" at that point and evolves into COBRA COMMANDER at the end of the film (with a different look).

So it's a different origin for the characters, but the characters themselves are apparently faithful (so says "Joe Godfather" Larry Hama anyway) If the film plays out like the comic adaptation then I think it'll be great.
