Good gun, very quiet. I use this on BFBC2, I love the silence and the RoF. Single shot for sniping, and full auto for people who run up on you and you can't switch to secondary. I haven't had the pleasure of shooting this gun yet, but I have shot a Mosin Nagant, probably my favorite sniper rifle.

AS-val, VSS-vintorez and SR-3/M vikhr all uses either 10-20 or 30 rounds magazines, the last coming with SR-3M. A scoped+silenced M16 is not comparable, all about VSS is ammunition, which permise to make very small, silence and powerful weapon.

Also exist complex OTS-14-groza convertible bullpup assault rifle, but it's not very liked. OF all, much praised are AS-val and SR-3M, being the more polyvalent and ergonomic.

This is THE rifle for urban enviroment assassinations - 400 meters is more than enough for an execution. But the problem is this baby is next to impossible to obtain - I tried to and I live in Croatia (ex - Yugoslav republic) and there was a war here 15 years ago so I went to Bosnia and tried to find one (there were Spetznaz here helping Serbs) but no luck - still trying though. But I managen to find an integrally silenced version of a Makarov pistol (model 6P9) for 800 euros.
