Not a good idea to open chests with the girl once Death traps are around.

Sure, give the best armor to the character that already has the most HP ;-P

Even if it shows 999 damage, it still applies the damage beyond that display cap, hence why you can just spam spells until your MP is gone.

HCBailly, here is a trick for finding where you can hit a difficult enemy like the dragons who have only a couple of places they can receive damage

When you go to the X or Y menu, anything that is a target and will register damage if hit will turn gray. Everything else will just darken.

Even before Final Fantasy Adventure, the game Mystic Quest (the one that began the whole mana series) had some of these enemies. It sure did get a lot prettier in some ways, but the classic versions are always charming.

I think that Mystic Quest was a member of the SaGa series, not the Mana series. They're, um, not really alike.

Also, the SaGa series was renamed Final Fantasy Legend for the USA market and is yet another separate series from those listed above.

LOL, though recolors don't really get heavily used until after the Emperor's Castle with Marmablues, Eggatrice, Basilisks, and Griffin Hands being the only new sprites after that place. The dragons are new when you hit the Pure Land but they manage to use them 3 times and change the element. Besides the last two bosses in the game, everything is a recolor from here on out.

True but they had to go with limit at the time, the cartridge format was not has flexible for storing data has future console cd and dvd format, where you can easily add other disk for production without much more cost.

How long did it take you to grind the Griffon Helm? I have never been able to do it in my playthroughs before I get bored and move on.

I got extremely lucky and got it in a few minutes. Last time, I tried for a couple hours and never got it.

For the record, the small area with the three Griffin Hands is probably the best place to grind for them. As in all rare item grinding, patience is a virtue, and I apparently have tons of it, as I get all the rare items in pretty much every RPG I've played.

There's a point where it stops being patience and starts becoming crazed-obsession. Considering the area isn't available end game, it's pretty dastardly to put such a rare drop there. Especially when it is the best helm for the hero.

Landing on the Mana Fortress is about as broken as landing the plane in Top Gun, but you don't die if you screw it up.

i finaly got a lets play i mention hcbaily frequently i also copy some of hcbaily's trademark things like saying no twice but my videos are not nearly as good hcbailys but i have one video explaining secret of mana 2 or seiken densetsu 3

The enhanced version of the game actually directly explains that without the power of the mana sword, the power emanating from the mana sword would kill you.

You should have talked to more of the NPCs left at the sunken continent, Sergo, Mara, and Phanna were also there.

The entirety of the pure land is a magic check for Undine, Gnome, Slyphid, and Salamando. Even all the trash mobs have an elemental weakness except the mushgloom though is highly vulnerable to dispel/change form.

The game is close to finished. They have 7 bosses left to kill. The most epic moments of the game are coming up.

The weapons that are the "effective against dragons" are the weapons that can actually hit the dragons reliably.

If your looking for a game to LP with much lower amounts of grind I would recommend "Skies of Arcadia"

on the Dreamcast or "skies of Arcadia: Legends" on the Gamecube. That and it has NEVER been LP'd before.

The bird/chick boss is perfectly beatable with weapons, you just need to know the hit box... though I'm fine with the spamming :)

i find this game a challange playing it singular the sprite and the girl sit there and do nothing half the time unless u use the targetting commasnd in the menu but thats a pain to do i find :P

Super Mario RPG is freaking amazing. Given that it can go for $70-$200 on ebay, 800 wii points is a steal.
