I have kobalt comanche Laptop running i7 quad 3.3ghz 8gig of ram,and a gtx280m(1gig card),loads of top end games play on max but gta iv lags after a few minuits on any settings,Iv even reinstalled windows 7 ect,tried everything ive found so far on the net,even in touch with Rockstar,no joy!!!

@thenuttas, the GTA IV PC port is just really terrible. It's insane that a 2006 game requires a modern system to run acceptably, let alone maximized. The same can be said for some other games, sadly originally PC games (but with consoles favoured, perhaps intentionally).

@khantko if you have the pc to handle 1920x1080 (true 1080p) with graphics at maximum it looks MUCH better than the 360 version. the 360 version is like having the pc version at medium textures medium reflect high water medium shadows draw distance-21 detail distance-10 traffic density -30 all running at 1280×720 (upscaled to 1080) all settings can go very high on the p.c draw/detail/density can go to 100. be warned tho that you need a MIGHTY pc.

@khantko You have to watch the framerate (or how silky smooth is the gameplay), especially during explosions. When it comes down to details, compare the lighting effect on cutscenes and gameplay (if the settings are as similar as possible). In textures, you have to acknowledge that you're very close to the PC's screen, when in console you need a HDTV to figure it out, so you'll see "more". By the way, some cars have a ceramic-like texture (the expensive ones)...

biult a cumputer your self instead, use windows 7 loader 1.7.3 or anything else that makes your windows "genuine"

5730 is a horrible graphic card, i use 5850. i recomend phenom965 or i5 750 as cpu(depends on if you are a fan of intel or amd,)

read more about it, and GET A GOOD GRAPHIC CARD, it´s not everything but it´s very inportant.

do not buy a expensive cpu like i7.

and i play modern warfare 2 on max

one time in the game it drop to 30 fps but around 60 - 200 fps true the entire game cool game

@AndrewDaniele87 CPU overclocking is generally not that important for most games in my experience. Overclocking the GPU yields far more return. And even with everything at stock speed, that hardware is overkill for this game. Even Crysis will fall to its might. :P

Always go with the higher resolution display. But the hardware needed to run games at that resolution is very high. I had to upgrade from my older EVGA 8800GT SuperClocked to an GTX 275 OC Ed. which flieeees and is the best bang for buck card out!

There are a lot of lucky bastards out there with comp systems that exceed that maximum gaming issue with games for PC. I only have an Asus G51Vx with a nVIDIA Geforce GTX 260m and the flaw is the resolution which is 1366x768 for my notebook. And the other flaw is the processor which is intel Centrino2 duo @2.4GHz.

como assim o video foi gravado em resoluçao baixa ? foi gravado em 1680X1050 ... agora eu nao sei editar.. uso um pragama chamado Camtasia.. e ele mesmo coloca no formato pra por no youtube... em 640x570 eu acho.
