I've hd Cavaliers for the last thirty two years. I'll tell you unless you have unconditional love in you, don't get one. They are one person dogs, gentle loving and some one, yes, someone to live for. My latest one is named Keats, and he is smarter then any person I know, including me! I love him and he rules me and I would not have it any other way.

I think your local breed club can give you a list of litters in your area. Then you can call around for references (past customers, other breeders, vets, etc.) to make sure you find a reputable one.

Coming from Northern Europe I can hardly believe anyone would sell a puppy at a pet store, I'm glad you're making some research!
