  • @96turboSE a ls/vtec is a conversion engine or hybrid engine you have to make it. a stock ls comes with no vtec so u put a vtec head on there like most people but b16a heads

  • i went to malaysia sepang international track..i saw only charade aura(4wd) can smoke all power car like skyline(1300bhp) and evo's.I saw this charade aura powered with mit.VR4 engine and ligthen body(no nos using)...they mod target for 400meter drag

  • @JSFER2 I agree. all the new American cars are underpowered, but all the new Japanese cars are given bad names by riceburners. I mean look at the Civic, the B16 is a virtually indestructible engine, and sure the automatic transmissions have problems, still really nice cars.

  • @nmurf93 over 400hp which is the standard for camaro and mustang v8's is really underpowered? i think less than 200hp in jap trap is underpowered

  • @bluetilerules120 If you compare the sizes of the engines though, under 200 whp is almost to be expected from a lot of jap cars. The AE86 Trueno was 95 BHP bone stock, but the car was light enough that it was still pretty quick. I won't take anything away from American cars, but a lot of the new ones just don't have the power you would expect from the engines, the new 351 has 50 less whp than the one in the 1980 mustang

  • @nmurf93 who makes this new 351 you speak of? and a new ford v6 makes 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. twice the hp of a honda motor and 2 more cylinders.

  • congrats on having more than one car while in high school, you say drop 5-10 thousand very freely. even myself with a full time job making $15 an hour could throw 5-10 thousand on my z32 and i loved my z32 as much as u guys love hondas....most people want to go cheap getting used parts and avoiding taking their car to any shops...trust me i know, for example everyone wants their car drop but no one will replace all the stock bushings, ball joints etc, they just skip it and cut the springs

  • i do say 5-10 thousand freely because i workd a part full time job with my dad for lipa and make just under 20 dollars an hour and also i do modeling. based on who buys or wants to buy by offer my boss sells every 4 pics for 1000 0r more.

    my cars that i built were also projects to show and support my school. i got a group of friends that helped me out with this and put in alot of time for this. since im only a junior my senior year im gonna be rebuilding a ram 1500 and a mercedes ml500

  • well then it excludes you, but majority of people (ill just say the most people in my state) make no more than 10 an hour and prob have shit load of bills so they go cheap or half ass on alot of things....i myself have a curse, if im gonna replace something i like to replace it with a new part and if theres two parts alike (for example axels, caliper, ect) i like getting both new or not at all. its a good way to threat an old car but sometimes a waste of money

  • well replacing them both is good but it also depends like if the caliper were shot i dont think you should spend like 600-1000 dollars for a new one if the old one is still good. but if your lowering the car along with make it more stable then yeah i would buy both.

  • @ilovetotones1 so true bro, i mean i have an EH2 and im personally gonna make it NA for time attack, something about 400+HP to try and turn seems a bit stupid since i wont be able to turn sharply. my plans are: Skunk2 Pro S coilovers and all of the suspension, ST swaybars, DC brace bars, Rollcage, atleast 290HP K20A2, Brembo brakes, Hasport Mounts, Fluidyne radiator, and much more, plus some home made parts like a Splitter, canards and a few braces for the chasis.

  • umm just wonder ing how your supposed to controlle your boost man, because there is supposed to be a vacum line from the top of that blow off valve to you intake manifold that you t-ee into and then run another line to your waste gate actuator??? just wondering cause i got a dsm and when that line aint hooked up car makes no power lol, yea let me know if you can tell me why?? would like to know

  • it looks like there is a line on the bov and the waste gate there black and hard to see. i have the same waste gate and that top vacum line is only for a optional boost controller

  • not always true, i own a dsm with the same design bov, and if that line isnt hooked into the intake manifold it will run like shit and only half boost, this wa also true when i made my corolla turbo, 380hp with it hooked up and only 205 not hooked up, some cars may be different im not sure, not saying your wrong, those are just my experiences

  • just gonna straighten this out muscle would smoke the cars today. half of them were made for the track stoke so when u gotta cuda or any other muscle car it gonna be faster but the new import tuners today can be easly modifed and tuned so much and so easily that they can keep up. but the muscle cars r comin stock with 350+ horse power. i love tuners civic ect. but i also love muscle cars, cuda, challenger ect.

  • EG is a '92 - '95 civic hatch, a EK is a '96 - '00 civic hatch. LSVTEC is a b series block from a base model integra with a vtec head from a b16a or b18c motors. thats the basics.

  • Looks like C5 head. no good for air flow unless you spent the money on a 3 angle and a port and polish. I will sell you a JDM b16 head that will flow air better than the best ported and polished C5 head you can get. Full built with Buddy Club Stage 2 Cams and wiseco valves lifters and springs.

  • you do know that a B16 head (whether its JDM or USDM, doesn't matter) is the same as a Type-R head, right? they are the same casting. and the type-r head (whether it be USDM B18C5 or JDM B18C) already has a mild port job, so it flows better than a common B16 head. JDM or not. it is a PR3 head, i know my Hondas son. dont try to rip someone off. B16A and B16B's have a PR3 head. and so do B18C5's and B18C (JDM ITR) look at the stamp on the front of the head. your lesson is over for now.

  • i had the same manifold on my turbo b16 hatch and where the wastegate sits the flange and everything broke off and i ran it over...manifold is a piece of shit but that car is super clean and so is the engine bay...nie car man
