It's not really a big deal it comes single speed but two speed is heavier and all you would achieve is a greater top speed. How ever if you do like that feature search youtube for "Traxxas Summit" Its a total beast!

@bizarrozero Castle made the MMM for 1/8 scale trucks and buggies. They have two motor choices; a 2200kv and a 2650 kv.

So yes. But brushless is NOT waterproof (ESC AND MOTOR) But the rest of the electronics IS waterproof.

GAH I hate those damn titan motors.. they are crap.. done went though 5 of them NO JOKE on my old Rustlerxl5 we got it November 21 2008 those are known as the worst motors ever.. I don't know ANY one that stayed with those.. I highly recommend anyone either don't buy an rc with one or any of those in it, or just get brushless

it depends on how u treat them...ur supposed to run the on the half throttle position in the scontroller for atleast 10 batts...then they get broken in and easily do 28-30...

yea well if you think about it, if you buy the e revo, its brushed and theres no spektrum radio system. the brushless version is powered by the castle creation 2500KV brushless, its watertight, its got 6s lipo capability, and has a spektrum radio already. so its much worth it!

I don't think it's a Spektrum radio. Just a Traxxas 2.4Ghz. It's still a sweet deal though if you can get it for low $600's.

Ya i know someone that works in traxxas and this x-mas or spring they are going out with a bigblock motor .23 and a brushless erevo with a 2.4ghz controller with all their trucks.

Very much doubt it, unless they have a deal with futaba for their 2.4ghz FASST system or with horizon and spektrum technology? They're the only two 2.4ghz systems being used at the moment. And unless you know an MD or designer, the truth surrounding that is pretty unreliable.

22.2v 3s lipos in the revo as standard would destroy the drivetrain. ONE VXL would be enough. Also, look at the price of the VXL system...doubt tht would be feesable for duals...If they release a twin brushless, the batteries would be worth more than the car. The LRP 8000mah 2s is around £120...£240 for batteries? (they reccomend 3s...) Thats why traxxas WONT release duals. Personally id hope for ONE VXL...lol

general electric motors do fine in water. the brushes wear faster but thats why most you can replace them. However the titans being drill motors have fans inside them. When under water they experience extreme load and burn up. Trust me I know.

The definition of waterproof is Impervious to or unaffected by water. The e-revo and e-maxx are both affected by water. I say they need to represent there products better so customers who are ignorant don't get mad when they find out its not waterproof.

I totally understand were your coming from. But I am not one to take my new E-Revo to a lake, my whole purpose is the race track so this baby will not see water. But agreed, most want to take it into puddles, mud etc.. and expect nothing to happen, not true eventually something will give and I would be very cautious about taking emaxx or erevo into water.

Yeah brushless running off lipo will own any nitro of equivelent size, brushless is best since it can accelerate so quickly, its torque.
