I love this song, this album. Finally got Walkabout on CD this week & had it on repeat ever since. I wore out the cassette. The Fixx- I cannot put into words how much I love this band.
@churchtroll I love you for loving this CD so much ...I wore this cassette out ...period.Walkabout!!!! Love to hook up and just chill with you my friend!!
@fenderrlee on Ebay. Keep checking FYE stores for trade ins, too. It's worth $27. Ask the seller the track length on Camphor. If it's over 10 minutes, you're getting the hidden track. Ask seller if it has the full packaging with lyrics. All the more worth it.
@DrBojayHookah Totally agree. Phantoms is their best album to me. Yet this is a good album and Reach The Beach is like a personal favorite. Calm Animals was awesome too.
It's funny how lyric's in songs made since for the most part through the 80's synthpop era.I do blame the Doors revisited via the movie and Nirvana for the first phase of dumbing down and of course all hiphop.Lyric's with statements like I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black?Wow great one their Kurt. And it wasn't so much Jim Morrison's lyric's which did wander into senseless places at times but the excuse to trip again as some kind of ode to Morrison.people were doing acid again ha.
I forgot how great this is. I flat wore out these cassettes in the 80's. They have been moved to the top of my rebuy list, just now. I did not have the gear to listen to how great this is back then. Now I can fully understand the depth of this music and lyrics. Now I do and like it more now than then....I'm stoked
One of the most underrated bands of the 80s, The Fixx put out some great tunes like this one. The live version of "Chase The Fire" on the "React" CD is awesome. In fact, that entire live CD is outstanding. Great stuff.
