hes just going down the fretboard 4 notes then goes to the second note of the 4 to go down 4 more and just repeats that pattern all whitin a harmonic minor scale,
then when he ascends, he uses patterns 3 notes but starts on the highest note then the second note is the lowest of the 3 and goes up 2 notes which will end on the starting note then goes up to the next note [4th note] and repeats the pattern.
looks like his sweat has gone into the wood making it look a little rotten, and thats pretty hard to clean, or the fretboard might be designed to look like that, just like fender sells their roadworn guitars to look like they have been trough the dessert or something O.o
@vashbebop It's not dirty, that's just the way the neck was designed. He uses the same guitar for most of the songs on "Emotions In Motion" and "Power Of Reality" albums.

Works for me. And the first part is in Eb harmonic minor and then he modulates to Ab harm minor and does the exact same pattern.
