@hollandrocksls Actually, Jamie from MythBusters was able to do it with an amplifier...How do I know? Because I'm the one who taught him to do it, while they were filming me breaking one without amplification;) You're right, it's not a high note. I can go MUCH higher;)

No disrespect taken;) Never been too worried about proving the validity of my stuff considering some of the pro singers I teach and sing along with during lessons. I sing along with students when I teach;) However, we just finished writing the last song for our debut release. Will be heading into the studio soon, then filming a video as well. Plenty of new stuff with me singing on here before long.

@hollandrocksls It's the resonance frequency of the glass. It could be sub human hearing range and be the right frequency to break the glass. It's just that in opera and movies they use glasses with a much higher resonance frequency so they break at a very high 'note'. Such as seen in a scene of an opera lady breaking a glass on her high note.

@erchunt any, different frequencies though. the materiel of these ones (some type of crystal) is very receptive to sound so breaks easier. smaller glasses may be easier to break perhaps but the frequency will be higher :P

Kids, kids...it's not fake...just science.  Resonant frequency is what causes the glass to break. You can destroy any material if you can find the resonant frequency and create enough decibels to vibrate the molecules into uncontrolable motion. The Tacoma Narrows Bridge was destroyed by wind as a result of resonant frequency. You younguns need to stay in school and take a physics class.

That was the TOUGHEST show I've ever done. They wanted me to break the glass on a table without touching it and I couldn't find the exact frequency. it took me an hour to break one. It really depressed me to only break three glasses for that show. I felt defeated. It just proves how hard these glasses are to break!

I filmed a show in the US 5 days later and broke the glass in about 10 seconds;)

It sounded like a Native American Chant perhaps the same frequency. Base on my info gathering its the same frequency wave they use to get rid of gall stones...same concept. I also heard that there is a certain frequency that can repair DNA at 528 hertz.

Yes I hate the sound it takes to break glass. It annoys the heck out of me because I'm the one making it, haha, but thats what it takes to localize the frequencies needed to break the glass;) It's not a trick, it's an intense concentration of building volume and hitting the EXACT frequency. Yes it IS dangerous. I just did a show for German TV and got glass in my mouth every time one shattered. It can be very dangerous.

The wineglasses I personally use are not thin;) They are Schott Zwiesel titanium crystal glasses; titanium makes them harder than lead crystal;)
