I honestly see the 1997 versions as the peak, because it was completing his vision as opposed to chucking random shit in over the top. It added in scenes that were supposed to be there originally... I mean, some things were a tad unnessecary, but they weren't terrible like those DVD ones coming out after the prequels... Also, the ROTJ ending music in the new version was just straight better in every way...
I love the 1997 SE trilogy. The picture and sound is far superior in my opinion to the original unaltered edition and the 2004 edition. Does a 1997 SE DVD trilogy exist?
@fuNjiaa I have them on VHS but I don't think DVDs of it exist. You can take VHS to places where you can transfer them to DVD, but the quality isn't amazing. I cherish those videos.
Seeing Empire in the theatres was the best cinema experience of my life. I never got to see it on the big screen due to not being alive until 1991.

Star Wars Original Trilogy exist:
1977-1983 (Gout) - only on VHS & also in "unaltered" DVD, that comes as a bonus to Revisited Edition...
1997 SE - on VHS, & only on a "pirated" German DVD`s & MPG`s, & in torrents...
2004 DVD SE - on DVD only...
2006-20?? Revisited edition DVD`s - it also comes with "unaltered" edition ...
