  • :08, yeah, questions like that require innate intelligence.

  • Yes..please smart people BREED!! BREED....!!

  • Hell, I got that joke at the beginning, even with my fragile, inferior intellect.

  • Labeling high IQ people who avoid, f. ex. brawling crowds or mindless consumerism driven & politically related tainted TV as Aspies (@ 5'18") is an exclusionary ploy to shut intelligent people up. Yes, high IQ doesn't fit the norm, median, average, mean in all senses, but this exclusion has led to a peculiar yet highly vocal & accepted mediocrity in the US echoed in phrases like "if you're so smart, how come you ain't rich?" Ridiculing or deeming intelligence as suspect is detrimental to the US!

  • Mensa members break the world record of the number of hugs per hour, while real scientists are working to cure cancer.

  • these women look horribly ugly and disfigured, no wonder they have to go to a mensa convention full of desperate nerds for sex.

  • haha, i get the event horizon joke lol.

  • The first lesson is Lose some Fat.

  • Her answer to Mr. Mensa's question at 3:49 proves that she is smarter than he.

  • man that would be tight to be top 2%.lmao kid on a leash.

  • man that would be tight to be top 2%.

  • I love smart people, I wish I was a genius!

  • _____Take this from somebody who always scores above average on IQ tests. If MENSANS are all incredibly "leet" in the brains department, why are so many of them so damned fat? There is every freakin' advantage to exercising to be had. (Aww, what'sa mattah, wittle baby? Do your wittle AHMS hurt when you do PUSH-UPS?) The Ancient Romans were complete jackasses when it comes to intellect, but they put it damned well: mens sana in copore sano. You fat-asses are allegedly smart; YOU translate.

  • Whatever IQ measures within its meaningless methods and outcomes is no match for true intelligence. History and time attests to its complete meaninglessness. When you place the advent of the IQ concept in the totality of the historical time scale it barely registers. And the future will discount it as nothing more than a primitive mind set springing from a backward system of classification and a remnant of 20th century nonsense. IQ will go the way of electroshock and craniology.

  • These people might be "smart". But they barely contribute to society.

  • @sdtgonzalez that might be because society's cultural operating system is Retarded...

  • unconventional but good people

  • lol the unix convention

  • nerds

  • So they didn't "think" to verify with Guinness records keepers before they exercised a record breaking attempt. Might have been fun, but a waste of precious time...

  • So joining mensa will make you overweight? I have second thoughts about trying to join it now...

  • clever is as clever does. what have they achieved?

  • DUDE, THAT'S SOME INTENSE MATH!!

  • I like poking fun out of these high IQ people. I find it hilarious that some people consider them "genius". Maybe at certain things they are but they are far from being well rounded in all aspects of life. Just look how they fail to keep their most prized possession, their body, in shape. There's so much smug going on too, it's kind of disgusting( 2:31 ).

  • @fitz2321

My do you have a lot to learn. According to the Oct 1984 article of Ebony Magazine (which you can read in Google books) there were 200 African-American Mensans that year. They interviewed six of them. I'm sure modern day membership is proportional if not higher. I take it when it comes to Mensa you are on the outside looking in.

    P.S. I'm a black Mensan.

  • @Utuber144

    /trollfed

    Thanks I was hungry.

I'm in mensa, too! Maybe I'll see you at a Friday get-together and we can hug and make up!

Out of curiosity though did you take an IQ test? If so what was your verbal and combined? SD?

  • @fitz2321

Well that would depend if we are in the same local chapters. I'm sure you know that, if you're really in Mensa. Yes, I took an IQ test. Two actually. They were completely nonverbal, though. One was called the RAPM and the other the SRA Primary Abilities. I got 36 out of 36 on the RAPM and whatever is the ceiling of the SRA. The standard deviation is 15, of course.

  • @Utuber144

Oh also what I said was somewhat true and please read carefully next time. I said sub- Saharan Africans not African- Americans. "Black people" was in parentheses so others would understand that I was referring to the black people who, for the most part, reside in the sub- Saharan part of Africa. I can explain the why of my semi- true troll comment if you want.

  • @fitz2321

"African-Americans" are on the average 80% west African to be precise. So what you were asserting largely applied to us as well. An IQ of 70 expresses itself differently in those who are that way due to head injury, congenital issues, or for ethnic reasons. Apples and oranges."Retarded" does not apply to all who fall into that IQ bracket.

I'd love to see your explanation of "As for the Mexicans...they're outside mowing my lawn or fighting eac other over drug territory."

  • @fitz2321

    1. I've heard the phrase.

    2. I would do that even if I wasn't offended. For the record, I'm not.

    3. Yes, I know. Iodine is the primary missing source.

    4. I don't recall anyone responding negatively to what you wrote.

    5. That's like telling an alert person to wake up. I am calm and have been so.

  • @Utuber144

    I surrender

  • @fitz2321

I guess I still have a lot to learn about internet-based communications. I wasn't aware we were having a battle of some sort. I'm not sure what nettiquette says is the appropriate response to someone when they surrender. I hope "okay" works.

  • @Utuber144 ... you said that you are black and in mensa.. I think i might try. I've taken a couple of test to get into gifted in grade school and I've had to take an "IQ" test for my ADD ... and I've scored in the 135 range for gifted but for the ADD it wasn't a traditional IQ test. How is life in mensa as a black mensan. I'm more than sure my aptitude has risen since taking the IQ test in grade school and it seems as if portions of the test are aptitude based. I know i can get a 140 ish

  • @majoro4 Mexican Mensan right here - though I admit I could have scored higher had there been taco questions :)

  • Again, I ask, where are all the blacks and Mexicans? What is their excuse, not enough questions about basketball or taco ingredients?

  • @majoro4

The black question has already been answered. As for "Mexicans" in Mensa, I think you're best off going to mensa.org.mx/

  • I believe the only member of Congress that is a member of Mensa is Ron Paul...

  • That kid with the Harry Potter glasses is going to grow up and be the biggest douchebag ever lol

  • It's not really cool for that one woman at 2:30 to assume that the man with the broom in McDonalds has a low IQ just because of what he does for a living.

  • I'm sorry, I like to consider myself somewhere in between a "party girl" and a "smarty" when I was younger I was more interested in scholastic things so I know what being a smart kid is like. It is not acceptable that those kids are treated as different. They are great. The kind of kids I would have been friends with in school.

  • @BergamoFirenzeSGV That is nice to hear. Stop worrying about being labeled weird. Be yourself because being intelligent is a wonderful thing. You can change the world and help people. Don't be affraid to be yourself. And by the way I have Aspergers Syndrome, I am considered very intelligent by most people who know me. Mensa sounds cool!!

  • I find it funny how these Mensans believe their capable of becoming the next Beethoven. Cocky much?

  • @CanadiaNecro1 No they aren't all white. 4:33

  • The most arrogant and rude reporter I ever met was Dan Solly a ginger headed reporter who lived in Washington DC.

Sorry he is dead now but felt like kicking his asss

  • @inachu well what do u expect? gingers don't have souls.

  • This is more likely a McDonalds Society....hehehe

  • jkolöölä

  • those smart kids are not normal. they have no friends probably.

  • @arino1994 lol, mean but probably true.

  • i wanna fucking shoot this kid... hes an idiot

  • Honestly my IQ is more than 20 points above most Mensans and I would not fit into this geeky crowd. True genius does not desire so much to "fit in" with any kind of social group because they consider it quality enough to be the rare and gifted one by their Creator. Geniuses are usually concerned with the affairs of life and achieving greatness with their abilities, not playing games and being nerds.

Also to note, Mensa IQ is at 133. Genius has been estimated at 140 or 145, far above Mensa.

  • hear, hear- well said

  • I would say that 140 is what one could call "bright", genius is more like 160+. Shakira has an IQ of 139, you dont see her getting the nobel prize

  • Then maybe her IQ isn't really a 139. It could really be 109 or 119.

Or maybe left brain intelligence means very little when it comes to being a mover and shaker. Maybe the right brain is really what matters. ;)

  • Actually, on a Standard Deviation 15 scale, "genius" level is a 145 IQ.

Intelligence is merely one's ability to learn and compute quickly, not an indication of one's success. Many people with sub-par IQ's have been extremely successful, and many with 200 IQ's (Chris Langan) have done absolutely nothing useful with their lives.

  • On an S.D. 15 IQ test genius would be identified at a 142 IQ. The reason is because no matter what the scale, the ratio has to be 1 out of 400 or better.

A 145 IQ on an S.D.15 scale would put someone at a 1 in 750 ratio, far ahead of the minimum requirement. A 145 IQ would be the min score on the S.D. 16 test.

But you're right. Mere intellect is not enough to be a world known genius. You need to effect the people in a profound way for that. So I get what you're saying about 200 IQ nobodies.

  • The "lady" on 7:03 with her child tied like a dog is supposed to be smart?

    lawl

  • Mensans aren't necessarily geniuses, but all of them are considered at least "gifted" by intelligence tests.

  • Is George Bush Mensa member?

  • @drekecdrekecadrekecu

    are you joking?

  • "drekecdrekecadrekecu" posed a good question

George W. Bush achieved a score on the SAT * that would have him falling just short of the qualifying pt for acceptance in Mensa

*SAT offered prior to 1994 is one of the tests Mensa accepts. This earlier version is looked upon as an accurate, test of native intelligence. The current exam is a watered-down, politically correct(ed), hodge-podge and is no longer considered a reliable indicator of I.Q. Therefore, N/A

  • So, Mensa is a club for retired people?

  • I would love to be in the top 2% of minds out there.

  • That's only 1 in 50. Nothing to brag about. In real life you have to go through several hundred at least to find someone truly intelligent and well rounded.

  • I'm member of triple 9 society- and I HATE these fuckers.

Stupid people disgust me, but these know-it-alls annoy me.

I'd rather live among horse flies than be around these assholes.

    The sex sounds nice though

  • That's really cool. Where did you go to take the test? Yes, I agree that these people are annoying. They are so wrapped up in being smart just because they aren't as profoundly stupid as the avg person and that seems to be enough for them. True genius stands alone. Look at Mozart, Da Vinci, Edison, etc. They didn't screw around being geeks. They got to work and changed the world with their vision and imagination. Not to mention HARD WORK!

  • I took the test right through Mensa.

It was arranged through a phycologist- who was nuttier than me. LOL!

My score also qualified me for Triple9.

I never considered myself smarter than other people nor even cared about the so-called IQ thing.

It was suggested to me to take an IQ test.

Through this, I found out why I was also the most anti-social person in the world.

I mean, a girlfreind and freinds... what's that?

  • By the way, I'm working on solving a problem that inflicts millions of Americans.

wish me luck. It's a hard field filled with frauds and scams because of the idiots and their unworkable schemes.

It's a corrupted competition that lost trust in a lot of people.

  • What problems are you working on? I too am working on things that would affect every person alive, but to do it requires a billions of dollars, a long list of prominent connections, and massive political influence. I am starting from the ground up. How about you?

    Good luck!

  • Triple9 society IQ is a 149 IQ, or around 1 in 1,000 which is not too shabby at all. Very good! (Technically "genius" starts at 145, so you are in the lowest of 3 major brackets of genius; 145-163, 164-182, 183-200. Beyond 200 is unmeasurable.)

Based on my results, (online tests, comparison of school grades, awards, abilities, etc) I am floating somewhere around the 160 IQ level. I'm itching to take a specially administered IQ test.

When did you take the test? Surely you knew you were smart.

  • If you are wanting to take an IQ test specifically made for those with high IQ's, try taking the Titan Test. This test is made to test those with ultra-high IQ's (140+), so it should fit you quite well.

I, too, am floating somewhere around the 160 IQ level. The Titan test said 168 (sd 15), but I have gotten both higher and lower elsewhere.

  • Where can I take the Titan test. I'm intrigued. Congrats on you abilities as well. There aren't many of us.

Like Alex Jones says, the government is drugging America; scientifically dumbing down the population to make us easier to rule over. Avoid fluoride at all costs and never drink the tap water.

  • You can take the Titan test at your house, you just need to print out the answer sheet, and mail it in when completed. Simply google "Titan Test", and it should be the first result. The only problem with this test is that it may only be graded once per person (and it is untimed), so take your time, and good luck!

  • As am I, and I never attend any of the meetings, because all of the members are completely egotistical, and rather boring to talk to.

  • "what happens in the event horizon stayes in the event horizon" isn't that obvious? or does it have some deeper meaning

  • It's not supposed to be obvious, it's supposed to be funny.

  • Lol! I would imagine black holes are pretty deep...

    ;)

  • you people are obvious jealous.

I'm not a member of mensa, but, a higher IQ society - Triple 9 society

  • Really? That's excellent. When/where did you qualify?

I would find myself in the ISI-Society or possibly Prometheus Society, Tetra Society, Homo Universalis Society, or Epimetheus Society if I scored at highest expectations.

  • envy-o-meter about to explode...

  • don't be jealous of us, we are mere mortals like you, and really anyone can get into mensa if one studdies hard enough, literally

  • well not anyone, sorry

  • mentos the freshmaker

  • I think those people are not so smart , they're more like retards that needs LOST & LOST of hugs cause no one like arrogant people that think

there better than other for example look at this Kid

On a leash like he is a Dog or something I would never put my kid on a LEASH! no matter how much he plays around! Look how they ignored the kids hug all cause they think they have a superior brain I bet that kid is smarter than all of those Dome asses Including his mother that put him on A LEASH!

  • lame joke.

  • Every mesen is an island.

  • These people are a little wierd... Did anybody see the kid on the leash at 7:03? :O

  • @cranegaroo haha...missed it the first time!

  • @cranegaroo A little!?

  • Yes but can they make a black forrest cake from scratch without a recipe as four children fight and scream in the backgound? No, they cant!

  • (Raises hand meekly): Uhm.....neither can I... I'm so confused...I really don't know where I belong in society now...

  • Me kneever.

  • Spose you fink thats funny dood but wot if a gian hemmoroid was heding twards the erf whoose goin to fly the spaceship that will distroy it and safe all us avwidge peeple?

Yes the clevor peeple will so stik that in yor pipe wize guy and smoke it!

  • Hey I saw a guy wearing slovakia shirt and I am from slovakia!

    Východ do toho!!!

  • 700 hugs ... jeez them not so smart

Truth is that you can't call the top 2% of the population "geniuses" (apologies for the probably very bright newscaster pretending to be more ordinary) - they are simply smarter than average. There is probably a technical definition out there, but I would say 1 out of 10,000, or 0.01% of the population, might be considered genius. That would leave the U.S. with a mere 30,000 geniuses (of any age). Adding much more to that count degrades the concept of genius.

  • A Unix Convention...ROFLMAO!!

    Good one Rich!!

  • I think he meant "the Eunuchs Convention" but I like the UNIX Convention interpretation, too!

  • I, too, thought he said a UNIX convention!

  • Interesting, I thought it only exsited in the Simpsons.

  • My favorite joke..."One smart fellow he felt smart.

Two smart fellows they felt smart.

Three smart fellows alll felt smart.

    Now say it fast (:-()

  • First

  • Hey, mensans, grab your calculators. What is the solution: 1 Country of 300 million led by an inexperienced Snake Oil salesman + 2 Occupations of Southwest hellholes disregarding the rules of counter insurgency/A country that repeatedly buys into one side of a two party corruption scheme which has terminated our currency and future. Multiply this by the fact that stupid people are breeding and the country is being Squared with illiterate illegals who leech off the social system. Get back to me.
