  • Thanks so much my best teacher.

  • Do you ever or Have you ever ?. Do you ever is informal ???

  • @NanelLatas -- "Do you ever...." leads to a present tense question. "Have you ever....." leads to a present perfect tense question. It's not a matter of formal or informal.

Do you ever play soccer? (present tense--any time now)

Have you ever played soccer? (present perfect tense--any time during your life)

    Hope that helps. Paul

  • ok, I got it, it is like to say in spanish(my native language) alguna vez (sometimes), algunas veces(plural form)

  • so, ever is the same to say "always"

  • @ponchito1961 no.. ever, like in some time, not always or everytime!

  • Thanks,Teacher Paul!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, my online Teacher! This lesson is very helpful!

I have a question. Would it be correct as a sentence, if I put the word "often" instead of "ever"?

  • Thanks, I enjoyed it very much. I especially liked section of “Does he ever wake up early?” (timeline between 1:251:45) You asked, “What goes here?” Because your interactive method of talking made me feel like I am in your classroom physically.

    Thanks again,

    Hisako
