  • reeeeeeeeeeeeealy freeqy

  • what ebazord

  • Frickin' Scary!!!

  • The Auton at 0.48 looks like Barry Norman.

  • this episode was sooooooooooooooooo good!

  • Maybe the Old Navy mannequins are Autons

  • Their so scary, probably cos we see them everyday, and their eyes, their so emotionless, ahh, so creepy xD

  • Ealing should be the epicentre of all invasions.

  • if this was filmed using modern day cinematography it would be so much scarier haha

  • the strange thing is

this is creepier than new who partially because of the poor special effects so they dnt look all that much like manequins

  • well

    this is scary as shit

  • proof, if any was needed, that the new series isn't in the same league as the classic series, the Pertwee era in particular

  • Such a fantasic iconic moment. You can't beat original Doctor Who.

  • im 19 years old and i think the classic series is better than the new series i think it has better stories than they do now

  • im still scared of mannequins

  • spearhead from space and terror of the autons are near enough the same story, i'd go as far as to say that terror of the autons is a remake of spearhead from space

  • Autons causing fear of shop window dummies from1970.

  • these scared me so much, looked in shop windows for weeks after!

  • second classic episode i ever watched age 7 wouldnt go shopping for weeks

  • Best Scene in the serial. Thanks for uploading!

  • It was nice to see the Autons in the new series, but they weren't the same! They just don't match the originals!

  • Nice..I Am actually a auton,

    (jamie auton) there scary!!

  • Wish this would happen in Wigan and kill all the Chavs ...ha ha ha !!

  • Chavs are like cockroaches - even a nuclear

    blast couldn't eradicate them.

  • i was 7 when i saw this and it terrified me,i hated going past the shops if they had a shop dummy, those were the days.

  • Yes, mush better.

  • With the rather low ratio of Autons to Londoners, the majority of Londoners have little to fear from the terrifying attack -LOL.

  • It was early in the morning :p and Channing (disguised "human" Auton) says earlier in the story the Autons have been dispersed countrywide, including "waxworks" of prominent figures...

  • This is my favorite Doctor Who episode. I started watching the show from the first Jon Pertwee show, and loved it. I wish I could watch the show with the uncritical eyes of a child again. That's how the shows are meant to be watched...

  • I remember this scene vividly. I was 6 and it scared the life out of me.

I remember being horrified that they shot a policeman.

Loved Jon Pertwee as the doctor - and for me he'll always be Dr Who.

  • I actually watched them filming this - very early one Sunday morning in 1969. The location (if anyone is interested) is the junction of Uxbridge Road with High Street in Ealing Broadway W5. As PDFandTRIPLEJ says the shop is now a Marks & Spencer.

  • These are my favorite villains from Doctor Who... EVERRR!!!!

  • me too! so sinister

  • They used to scare the shit out of me! When I was a child I used to literally run past Burtons window.

  • iv got ideas for halloween!

  • I live only a few minutes from the place they filmed this. The building where the autons emerge from is now Marks and Spencer

  • wow thanks for this wonderfull classic clip!

  • This scared me so much when i first saw it! this episode was repeated on uk gold sometime in the early 90s, i was only little, and after seeing this scene, i could never look a shop dummie in the eye again!!

    Thanks for the post!
