Theyre gonna redo the musical for the european stage, focusing more on an adult audience. The new version is gonna focus more on the relationship between ariel and her father and the mutual love between ariel and Eric. Alan Menken is even writing two new songs for it!

Gotta love Stage Entertainment for revamping the Little Mermaid. It was good, but it couldve been great. Now it might be, just like they did with Tarzan!

Broadway's Little Mermaid to End Aug. 30; National Tour Planned.

Disney's lavish Broadway musical, The Little Mermaid, will end Aug. 30 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, but the producer is sending her to wider waters. A national tour will launch in fall 2010.

There is talk that the Lunt-Fontanne will be the home of the new musical The Addams Family in early 2010, but that couldn't be confirmed.

The Little Mermaid will have played 50 previews and 685 performances by the time it closes.

Yes, there are a few songs where she sings her "thoughts" in the production. It was a nice way to continue a singing part for the lead instead of having her be mute until the end.

i love this song so much me and a few people are doing it for a broadway caberet and it;s sounds good. i was nervous at first because it's a hard song to live up to with all these voices from broadway but we have four of the best voices and we hope it does the song justice. the show is incredible. Disney's broadway shows are good but The Little Mermade is so much different than some others.

No, there are probably two versions of lyrics. I noticed it when I was listening to soundtrack and then to videos from the show. It was same with Beauty and the Beast, there are also some words different in clips from show and official soundtrack.

I didn't get to see Sierra on Saturday which was sad, but Sean was there and man is he adorable and totally amazing!! The girl who did play Ariel was very good though. They still usually have radio microphones, live or not, to be heard over the orchestra, but yeah I can't see them either

Most mics for live shows like this are either very well hidden in the costumes or hair. And there's now a very small mic that goes in the middle of the singers forhead, because it gives the best projection.
