funny how people for get facts when the compare kobe to jordan. Jordan never was pushed to a game 7 in the finals. Look at the kobe vs jordan comparison 2010 video. Stats are facts and Kobe falls short not hate just facts.

Michael was so far ahead of his time in regards to athletic prowress and basketball skill, it's not even funny. He was clearly the pied piper, whenever he stepped out on the court. Everybody was mesmerized by him.
The degree of difficulty for many of his shots was off the charts. He seemly defied gravity in route to the basket LOL.
I love watching Kobe play, but there wil never be another Michael Jordan. He is sui generis.
Jordan is the GOAT but all the Kobe haters need to give him credit where its due. Winning game 7 of the finals already adds to his list of things he's done that Jordan hasn't. Bad shooting game or not, Jordan and Kobe will both tell you that winning is winning and Kobe did whatever he had to do to help win that game just as Jordan would do.
@soysauce187 Your comment doesn't make sense. You're giving Kobe credit over Jordan for winning a game 7, just because Jordan never went to 7 in a finals series? In my book, that adds to Jordan's list of dominance. If Kobe hadn't shot 40% from the field in the 2010 finals, it might not have gone 7.
hoopsencyclopedia, oftentimes I force myself to reminence what it was like just before I could dunk the ball. Just after I made use of the exercise program at 50 inch vertical (dot) com - my skills has been improving alot - no longer am I on the bench every game!

For all Kobe fans on this video, Kobe is great and has the rings, but he is not and will never be Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant is nowhere near Michael Jordan's equal on the defensive end. Michael had 9 All-Defensive First Team selections, and a Defensive Player of the Year Award and was the only guard ever to compile 200 steals and 100 blocks in the same season, let alone in consecutive seasons. When was the last time we heard of Kobe doing that?
So my basketball teammate hoopsencyclopedia just told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but leaps over 9 inches higher! So he used the training plan over at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and increased over 14 inches in his vertical jump!
The Artistry of Michael Jordan 2 Remix: by Hoopsencyclopedia cclxqq ccyrmwdhjkrzt #hoopsencyclopedia
I don't like it. Music from orginial is much better, and what is more important, it matches to the movie (i mean action, moves etc.). But of course, it depends on taste.
So my high school teammate hoopsencyclopedia finally told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but leaps over 8 inches taller! Apparently he used the training plan over at 50inch vertical[dot]com and increased over 15 inches in his vertical jump!
It's amazing how every player has "off" games, but did you know that the lowest MJ has ever scored in the playoffs is 17 pts and most is the epic 63 vs Larry's Cs(playoff record). If his regular season accomplishments weren't enough, his playoff performances just about dwarf any other player's. Lebron's got a good shot, but we'll have to see if he catches up.
MICHAEL is a very powerful name that comes from the Hebrew: מִיכָאֵל / מיכאל (Mikha'el), "who is like ( El )", meaning "Who is like God?" - no wonder why some of the best people in the world were named Michael. Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Michael Schumacher, Michael Angelo, ... even the Archangel that slay the devil is Michael.. if you want to have a son someday name him "MICHAEL"; surely another chapter of Greatness will be fulfilled.
Thanks for posting this Hoops....The music goes right in time with Jordan's moves and game....smooth and melodic. This was a great example of how Jordan made great moves at every stage of his career, from start to finish. He will always be the greatest b baller of all time.
lmao aw man i enjoyed this video man! wow! i never knew he was such a lay up beast! nice song 2 man. by the way ive been posting ur vids on facebook man, this man deserves to get the credibility he should, while it can last and it can only last FOREVER. lmao
nowadays a guy like mj would be a ball hog but hey if it aint broken dnt fix it plus he still would find the open man even if it was uncontested he is just the greatest
Kobe is taking criticism for shooting bad in a close out game to win a championship where in a series he also got Finals MVP. These criticisms come mostly from Jordan fans, when they dont realize Jordan has won a championship the same way. In 1996 Jordan shot 5-19 to score 22 pts in game 6 of the Finals versus the Sonics. In that series he also shot 41.5 FG %. For all the Jordan fans criticizing Kobe ...Jordan still won the Finals MVP...while Rodman grabbed 19 rebs to save him.
4:01: lol even the cameraman is trying to keep up. Great remix Hoops, although there was nothing wrong with the original. Btw are you gonna tell us what the title of the second song is? Thanks
he is a legend....after some time he'll became somethin' like a myth.....we'll be saying ''there was a guy, Michael Jordan was his name....the god of basketball''...
@tkcwu Haha, me too, and I also have bad legs. But trying to rip off his moves, gave me another level of appreciation of Jordan, particularly his mind. How someone can develop such a game. And kind of put Kobe in perspective, who ripped off his game. It's something that I cannot explain, but there's just a huge difference with someone who can create and someone who can't, and it just showed me how much better Jordan is. And it's not a knock against Kobe, but a compliment to Jordan's mind.
@inlovewithi Thats beautiful to hear.....man theres a diff with kobe and mj's fadaway i am sure you know, (i am not going to reveal it incase we meet in the gym) that allows him some extra oomph and it starts at the feet. Kobe didnt pick that up!!!!
The fadaway, and fake fade and drop step scoop is the best!! is that what you use too to kill the kids??!!!
@tkc I do have a Jordan secret that I don't tell anyone, but that I noticed one day in 98, from a 2 second clip of Jordan working out.
There's definitely a difference between Kobe's and Jordan's fade aways, and there was this kid saying that Kobe's is better, because Jordan is from the past, and Kobe expanded it. BS. But what Ive been practicing this summer is one where he almost falls all the way back. In a way it's easier to hit, even though it looks more difficult.
@tkcwu cont.- Jordan has this very simple cross over that I can use at will, but how I've been killing them this year is with Jordan's spin move (which is dif also from others) My foot work and lay up can go either left of right, and by using the spin move gives me a lot of option of laying up, or shooting a fade away, depending on the defense.
Physically I'm shit, broke my leg at 19, 2 bad legs. But one on one, I rarely lose, unless I'm really tired. All thanks to copying Jordan.
Man these select highlights along with the beat just putting Jordan's greatness into perspective. This man was armed with single basketball necessary to just destroy. He should be incomparable to everyone, even Kobe, who is my personal favorite of all-time. But Jordan would've dismantled him
I honestly don't get why this is even a debate. Even if Kobe ends up winning more titles than MJ, (regardless of having Shaq for 3 of them), it would only give Kobe the edge among the greatest WINNERS of all time, of whom is Bill Russell. But as far as the greatest PLAYER of all time, its MJ no question. Kobe will finish as one of the all-time greats, but Jordan is in a class all by himself.
@cooljjjj umm and and edge?championships really means your in a good place in a good time,he had shaq and now gasol, michael is the goat and best closer in any sport
here's my take on this whole kobe - jordan debate. game 7 was all the evidence we need. In a game 7, deciding game of finals, kobe was no where to be seen. Neither where either teams, however he was horrible. Michael never had that type of performance in a clinching game. really people, it was pathetic. only reason they won was becasue of a no defense allowed league. If kobe played at his prime in the same aggressive defense era as jordan............
@deb21305 that's the whole story... i agree w/ that thumbs up, MJ will bring the game to a diff level during finals, and KB was nowhere to be seen during game 7 nuff said
@deb21305 Actually what you said was wrong in 98 finals MJ missed 20 shots in game 6, and in 97 he also missed 20 shots in the last game. Kobe "only" missed 18, he shot horrible shots, but he rebounded well and defended, and he shot pretty good in the 4th. Ron saved us that day. MJ has had bad games, and even whole finals, in 96 he shot 41% from the field in the finals. Nobody remembers that stuff, MJ is better than Kobe and Kobe will not surprass him, but Kobe is one of the very best ever.
@EliasJordan3 Saying "missed 20 shots" and "missed 18 shots" is misleading if you compare the 15-35 game MJ had to Kobe's 6-24. MJ scored 45 points (out of his teams 87). Not to mention controlling the last 45 seconds of the game. What I don't like about Kobe's game is how easily he settles for long jumpers. Talk about forgetting: a lot of people forget the 4 or 5 long 25ft 3's Kobe misses in a given game but remember the 1 he hits. Kobe is one of the best but he could be much better.
@Amir883 Yeah that's right Kobe forces way too many long jumpers, but he's probably the best ever at knocking down tough long jumpers. Everytime he forced those jumpshots I was "WTF ARE YOU DOING KOBE?? DAMNIT!!". But it's ridiculous when people always start to knock on Kobe no matter what he does and say that MJ would never play like that, well he has really. 15-35 is better than 6-24, but both are not good, and MJ did shoot 41% from the field once, MJ isn't untouchable.
@EliasJordan3 Being the best at making bad shots isn't much of a compliment. It's actually more insulting to say Kobe takes bad shots than "he's the best at making a lot of bad shots". I would rather have a player who gets the right shots and makes the right plays more( not that Kobe doesn't do that as well). The games are incomparable for a multitude of reasons. And while 15/35 isn't Great, it certainly isn't BAD and it's certainly significantly better than 6/24
@EliasJordan3 45 pts on 35 shots is a lot different than 23 pts on 24 shots. And if you watch the game footage of both you would see MJ scored 23 pts in the first half and 22 in the second. Consistently keeping his team in the game (without Pippen for the most part). While MJ did the heavy lifting for the Bulls, Pau did the heavy lifting for the Lakers. That's really the difference in those two games. But as I've said before ONE performance isn't proof of anything either way.
@EliasJordan3 Yeah that may be true, but the difference between Jordan shooting 41% in a finals series versus Kobe is one MJ was older, two he had no dominant big man that he could dump the ball down to and could get 20 and 10 consistently on 55% shooting. In fact MJ was his teams best post option on the team. Also that game 6 in 98 you would notice that Scottie was hurt and missed over half the game. Also he played practically the whole game including the second half without rest and he's 35
@bcjclj MJ could get 35 and 10 on 55% consistently, but it doesn't mean he can do it everytime. And MJ had Scottie, who is much much better than Gasol. MJ was 33? against the Sonics. Kobe's soon 32, so that's not a big difference, especially when they both play/ed using more fundamentals than athletic ability at that age. Kobe's also a beast down low, especially after he trained with Hakeem, but he didn't post enough vs Boston. MJ's 15-35 is much better that Kobe's 6-24, but its not good either.
You cannot compare Gasol and Pippen. Two totally different animals. Jordan had no low post help at all. There's a reason why without Gasol, Bryant could not even get out of the first round of the playoffs. Gasol is not just a good big man, he is arguably the best and most well-rounded big man in the game offensively.
@yaiqab You seriously can't think that Gasol is as good as Pippen. Pippen is one of the top 30 of all time to me, Gasol is the best post player today and he can shoot from mid range. He's maybe the best power forward today, but he's no Pippen.
Where did I say that "Gasol is as good as Pippen"? I said that they are TWO different animals. They play two different positions and have two different roles. That's like saying, "Who's better, Isiah Thomas or Karl Malone?". Makes no sense. This conversation is in conjunction with their respective abilities to take pressure off of Bryant and Jordan respectively. Jordan never had post help, at all. He was the post help lol. Bryant never got out of the first round without Gasol.
@deb21305: But mind you Kobe had 20pts & 15rebs in game 7...and he's a guard. Thats damn near Dwight Howard numbers which when he played against the celtics he couldnt even get those same numbers against them in the conf. finals. U gotta give it up to him. And in the closing seconds of the game he made plays and knocked down big shots. He found a way to win like a tru champion
@deb21305 MJ @ seattle 6-19. MJ @ utah 15-35 twice. etc etc. its finals. yes but not a game 7. but still bad game, everybody has bad games in their careers nobodys perfect. i have nothing but respect for jordan but i have to say kobe is so much close to jordan.
@deb21305 um he had 15 rebounds, and any true basketball player will understand that defense was actually easier back then because you couldn't zone up on the offensive man, its either one on one or u have to completely double, in which somebody will be wide open, so kobe one on one against anybody who eva played the game will result in a W for kobe, understand basketball before u make these assumptions
Defense was far from 'easy' back then. Watch these links. watch?v=5K-qGWkiKvQ and watch?v=NLv2F33snCE. If anything it was more physical than today's game.
No Way You can Compare Kobe To This Cat named Micheal Jordan...He was Blessed with The Ability To Do anything He wants on the Court and For that reason He will be the Greatest Ever Regardless...
why dont you update your stats? I see you havent updated them since 12/17/08, Kobe has collected some rings and finals MVP since then or maybe you dont want to show Kobe passing MJ?? come on man update your stuff unless your a hater?
@reneperezz ....Kobe passing MJ?...The student can't ever be better than the teacher..This is the same Kobe that shot 25% in game 7 and needed Ron Artest to carry him to a championship..oh yeah..and barely shot 40% for the whole series...The same Kobe that needed dominate post presence to even sniff a ring(Shaq, Gasol, plus a healthy Bynum)...Who did Jordan have?..Bill Cartwright, Will Perdue and Luc Longley...I can go on and on and on...but I don't have enough space on here.....
@AntBanks1984 u aint lying i swear this shit true. Mj was winning rings in his later 20's kobe is my fav player becuz he wins but kobe is 31 nd he is no way as gud as mj was in his laters 30's
@lilterry1994 Yeah man...they kill me with all this comparing Kobe to Jordan.....They need to get the DVD...Ultimate Jordan Collectors Edition....it speaks for itself.....
@AntBanks1984 you are a fucking idiot. why don't you list more pathetic role players from chicago? you list those 3 trash and forget to mention scottie pippen, dennis rodman, and toni kukoc? what about john paxson's miracle 3? you dipshit.
@Knightmare2k6 ...Wow man...did I strike a nerve?..LOL....didn't know it was that serious...you must Hug Kobe's nutsack really hard...calling me a dipshit..and a fucking idiot..and don't even know me......
@AntBanks1984 I don't need to know you to realize that you're just another fucking hater. And yes, I do hug Kobe's nutsack, and you must hug Jordan's.
@Knightmare2k6 ..The fact that your a Kobe fan...but looking at a 11 minute Michael Jordan video speaks louder......so I suggest you go to a video showing Kobe and let us Michael Jordan fans enjoy 11 minutes of greatness....Thank you very much.....
@AntBanks1984 Hey bro, if you read closely, I wasn't hatin on MJ. I come here to enjoy MJ's shit, and I see your opinionated post about how Kobe got nothing on MJ. You just gotta learn your basketball facts. there's nothing worse than discrediting a great player with subtle facts.
@Knightmare2k6 I didn't say he wasn't good.....but he's nowhere near Jordan...stats matter....5MVP's matters...6 Finals MVP's matter...Defensive player of the year matters...2nd all time in steals matter....10 scoring titles matter, 11 time all nba matters, Rookie of the year matters, 5 straight years shooting over 50% from the field matters, the oldest to score 50 points in a game matters...I can go on and on and on...but it's not enough space on here to do so
@AntBanks1984 Playing in a different league matters. Playing a more physical basketball matters. Playing against people like LeBron matters. I can go on and on and on, and there's more space on here to do so, but I don't have to.
@Knightmare2k6 Oh you mean the league where you can't handcheck?...Oh the league where you can't touch a player without his back facing the basket or it's a foul?..The league where if you foul somebody hard, there's a strong possibility that a flagrant would be called...and you mention Lebron?...LOL..Jordan played with the likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird...dammit the whole 92 Dream Team..the greatest team ever assembled...played against them all...and destroyed them. I'll take his era any day
@AntBanks1984 I just don't entertain them after a while because they're not out to discuss, they're out to 'tell you what's right'. It gets old. I mean look what he said, he made it seem like Kobe plays Lebron every 5 games and defends him for 48 minutes. It's ludicrous, and if you notice he didn't even respond to me when I called him out.
@Titanblade007 Lol. Pathetic. One hopes that if this is your best you indeed have a low sperm count, if only to prove Darwin right. - Shame too, it's never about substance with some people. Just surface attacks fueled by being bitter. "Tool" and "Gay" - I'm surprised you haven't called someone a poopy-head. As a courtesy I responded to this "response". I hope that doesn't give you the illusion that you're relevant. God Speed Titan.
LOL, why thank you Dr. Phil of YouTube! You sure waste a lot of time giving paragraph bullshit to everyone! LOL! You must be some jobless bastard who has too much time on his hands to do this. GTFO! Think you're smart? THEN DO SOMETHING THAT'S WORTH A WHILE DUMBASS! LOLOLOLOLOL!
@Titanblade007 For something so insignificant you sure are making a big deal out of it. Why are you reading things that upset you so much? Should I explain how you're self-projecting? Should I mention how you insulted yourself more than you did to me? I would but I don't expect you to be able to grasp any of those concepts. I'm not sure how long it takes you to write (or read) a Youtube (500 characters) comment but you seem to take your 'job' seriously. Who am I to question a Youtube Vigilante?
"I think the NBA is actually a little [less physical] than international basketball. I think the international basketball rules and what they have, its what the NBA [used to be] in the [80s], in terms of being able to [hand-check] and set screens and roll with the guard under, [real physical] in the [paint]. It was a [much more] physical game."
-- Kobe Bryant: "Kobe's time has arrived" by Jonathan Abrams, LA Times June 30, 2008
@Knightmare2k6 If you read what he wrote he was talking about Post Players. A solid inside scoring option has been standard on almost every championship team. The Bulls inside scoring option was Jordan. The Lakers had Shaq, and now have Gasol. I understand how you read that and thought he was neglecting the other great players the Bulls had. But MJ did it without a dominant Center or Power Forward to score in the Post. He did it 6 times. No one else has done that.
@Amir883 THANK YOU!!!...I said "Post Presence"....and then he took it to another level calling me a dipshit..and a fucking idiot....haven't a discussion about basketball and he goes there with it.....I don't mind talking basketball and disagreeing, I can do that all day, but leave the name calling out of it...

Watched again. God damn. The hands are just gold!!!!!
Maybe Kobe should hire a plastic surgeon to cut the cleavage sections between his fingers. That's the only way he can palm the ball.
Civsuccess2 1 year ago
Another thing I think Jordan is best is his ball fake. His up and under is just money. Kobe can't copy that.
Civsuccess2 1 year ago
It's not the shoes. It's the hands.
You can change hands in the mid air if you can palm the ball like that.
Civsuccess2 1 year ago
The only art that Kobe cannot do is to grow a pair of hands that are as big as MJ's.
Look at the above video. Almost all MJ moves rely on him palming the ball in the middle of air.
MJ's ball fakes depend on one hand palming the ball. It cannot be copied by Kobe.

I ripped off all his Moves (thats humanly possible) and am still dominating the young kids at the gym!! : )
MJ moves are unguard-able
tkcwu 1 year ago
@tkcwu Haha, me too, and I also have bad legs. But trying to rip off his moves, gave me another level of appreciation of Jordan, particularly his mind. How someone can develop such a game. And kind of put Kobe in perspective, who ripped off his game. It's something that I cannot explain, but there's just a huge difference with someone who can create and someone who can't, and it just showed me how much better Jordan is. And it's not a knock against Kobe, but a compliment to Jordan's mind.
inlovewithi 1 year ago
@inlovewithi Thats beautiful to hear.....man theres a diff with kobe and mj's fadaway i am sure you know, (i am not going to reveal it incase we meet in the gym) that allows him some extra oomph and it starts at the feet. Kobe didnt pick that up!!!!
The fadaway, and fake fade and drop step scoop is the best!! is that what you use too to kill the kids??!!!
tkcwu 1 year ago
@tkc I do have a Jordan secret that I don't tell anyone, but that I noticed one day in 98, from a 2 second clip of Jordan working out.
There's definitely a difference between Kobe's and Jordan's fade aways, and there was this kid saying that Kobe's is better, because Jordan is from the past, and Kobe expanded it. BS. But what Ive been practicing this summer is one where he almost falls all the way back. In a way it's easier to hit, even though it looks more difficult.
oomph off 1 foot? cont.
inlovewithi 1 year ago
@tkcwu cont.- Jordan has this very simple cross over that I can use at will, but how I've been killing them this year is with Jordan's spin move (which is dif also from others) My foot work and lay up can go either left of right, and by using the spin move gives me a lot of option of laying up, or shooting a fade away, depending on the defense.
Physically I'm shit, broke my leg at 19, 2 bad legs. But one on one, I rarely lose, unless I'm really tired. All thanks to copying Jordan.

also kobe is nowhere near defender Michael was. This finals he was not guarding celtics best guard....michael was always given defensive assignments.
deb21305 1 year ago 2
I honestly don't get why this is even a debate. Even if Kobe ends up winning more titles than MJ, (regardless of having Shaq for 3 of them), it would only give Kobe the edge among the greatest WINNERS of all time, of whom is Bill Russell. But as far as the greatest PLAYER of all time, its MJ no question. Kobe will finish as one of the all-time greats, but Jordan is in a class all by himself.

SunMan6A6 1 year ago
here's my take on this whole kobe - jordan debate. game 7 was all the evidence we need. In a game 7, deciding game of finals, kobe was no where to be seen. Neither where either teams, however he was horrible. Michael never had that type of performance in a clinching game. really people, it was pathetic. only reason they won was becasue of a no defense allowed league. If kobe played at his prime in the same aggressive defense era as jordan............
deb21305 1 year ago 15
@deb21305 that's the whole story... i agree w/ that thumbs up, MJ will bring the game to a diff level during finals, and KB was nowhere to be seen during game 7 nuff said
koolyoh213 1 year ago
@deb21305 Actually what you said was wrong in 98 finals MJ missed 20 shots in game 6, and in 97 he also missed 20 shots in the last game. Kobe "only" missed 18, he shot horrible shots, but he rebounded well and defended, and he shot pretty good in the 4th. Ron saved us that day. MJ has had bad games, and even whole finals, in 96 he shot 41% from the field in the finals. Nobody remembers that stuff, MJ is better than Kobe and Kobe will not surprass him, but Kobe is one of the very best ever.
EliasJordan3 1 year ago
@EliasJordan3 Saying "missed 20 shots" and "missed 18 shots" is misleading if you compare the 15-35 game MJ had to Kobe's 6-24. MJ scored 45 points (out of his teams 87). Not to mention controlling the last 45 seconds of the game. What I don't like about Kobe's game is how easily he settles for long jumpers. Talk about forgetting: a lot of people forget the 4 or 5 long 25ft 3's Kobe misses in a given game but remember the 1 he hits. Kobe is one of the best but he could be much better.
Amir883 1 year ago
@Amir883 Yeah that's right Kobe forces way too many long jumpers, but he's probably the best ever at knocking down tough long jumpers. Everytime he forced those jumpshots I was "WTF ARE YOU DOING KOBE?? DAMNIT!!". But it's ridiculous when people always start to knock on Kobe no matter what he does and say that MJ would never play like that, well he has really. 15-35 is better than 6-24, but both are not good, and MJ did shoot 41% from the field once, MJ isn't untouchable.
EliasJordan3 1 year ago
@EliasJordan3 Being the best at making bad shots isn't much of a compliment. It's actually more insulting to say Kobe takes bad shots than "he's the best at making a lot of bad shots". I would rather have a player who gets the right shots and makes the right plays more( not that Kobe doesn't do that as well). The games are incomparable for a multitude of reasons. And while 15/35 isn't Great, it certainly isn't BAD and it's certainly significantly better than 6/24
Amir883 1 year ago
@EliasJordan3 45 pts on 35 shots is a lot different than 23 pts on 24 shots. And if you watch the game footage of both you would see MJ scored 23 pts in the first half and 22 in the second. Consistently keeping his team in the game (without Pippen for the most part). While MJ did the heavy lifting for the Bulls, Pau did the heavy lifting for the Lakers. That's really the difference in those two games. But as I've said before ONE performance isn't proof of anything either way.
Amir883 1 year ago 2
@EliasJordan3 Yeah that may be true, but the difference between Jordan shooting 41% in a finals series versus Kobe is one MJ was older, two he had no dominant big man that he could dump the ball down to and could get 20 and 10 consistently on 55% shooting. In fact MJ was his teams best post option on the team. Also that game 6 in 98 you would notice that Scottie was hurt and missed over half the game. Also he played practically the whole game including the second half without rest and he's 35
bcjclj 1 year ago
@bcjclj MJ could get 35 and 10 on 55% consistently, but it doesn't mean he can do it everytime. And MJ had Scottie, who is much much better than Gasol. MJ was 33? against the Sonics. Kobe's soon 32, so that's not a big difference, especially when they both play/ed using more fundamentals than athletic ability at that age. Kobe's also a beast down low, especially after he trained with Hakeem, but he didn't post enough vs Boston. MJ's 15-35 is much better that Kobe's 6-24, but its not good either.
EliasJordan3 1 year ago
@EliasJordan3
You cannot compare Gasol and Pippen. Two totally different animals. Jordan had no low post help at all. There's a reason why without Gasol, Bryant could not even get out of the first round of the playoffs. Gasol is not just a good big man, he is arguably the best and most well-rounded big man in the game offensively.
yaiqab 1 year ago
@yaiqab You seriously can't think that Gasol is as good as Pippen. Pippen is one of the top 30 of all time to me, Gasol is the best post player today and he can shoot from mid range. He's maybe the best power forward today, but he's no Pippen.
EliasJordan3 1 year ago
@EliasJordan3
Bryant never got out of the first round without Gasol.
yaiqab 1 year ago
@deb21305: But mind you Kobe had 20pts & 15rebs in game 7...and he's a guard. Thats damn near Dwight Howard numbers which when he played against the celtics he couldnt even get those same numbers against them in the conf. finals. U gotta give it up to him. And in the closing seconds of the game he made plays and knocked down big shots. He found a way to win like a tru champion
youngkobe 1 year ago
@deb21305 MJ @ seattle 6-19. MJ @ utah 15-35 twice. etc etc. its finals. yes but not a game 7. but still bad game, everybody has bad games in their careers nobodys perfect. i have nothing but respect for jordan but i have to say kobe is so much close to jordan.
teamliquid2 1 year ago
@deb21305 um he had 15 rebounds, and any true basketball player will understand that defense was actually easier back then because you couldn't zone up on the offensive man, its either one on one or u have to completely double, in which somebody will be wide open, so kobe one on one against anybody who eva played the game will result in a W for kobe, understand basketball before u make these assumptions
Iwilju2 1 year ago

@Knightmare2k6 If you read what he wrote he was talking about Post Players. A solid inside scoring option has been standard on almost every championship team. The Bulls inside scoring option was Jordan. The Lakers had Shaq, and now have Gasol. I understand how you read that and thought he was neglecting the other great players the Bulls had. But MJ did it without a dominant Center or Power Forward to score in the Post. He did it 6 times. No one else has done that.
