oro has to play like that in this match up, especially if it's against kuroda. if q gets far away he just taunts and builds up his defense, so oro can't really charge fireballs easily. it's somewhat cat and mouse most of the time in this match up. you're usually chasing down q if you use oro.
@0sakaBancho Lol you mad at highly footsies and spacing? Shows how little you understand SF if you cant see the mind games and defensive progression in every step and move.
@zeokenX a game being slower than its predecessor is not a selling point. sf4 sold more because its easier to play than 3s and it recycled the world warrior cast. Better sales does not equal a better game.
@0sakaBancho Excuse me? =/? SF4 = a game that was slowed down and made with input delay intentionally to allow motion inputs to be less strict.
Brawl = A game that was slowed down with the intention of providing everyone with a chance to win =/
Thats your opinion on a scale of what you look for in a game, but if tiers distinct what characters print money at tournaments, then that can only mean money has value correct =/? They are the better games even if they both don't fit your criteria =/
@0sakaBancho Customers dont tell lies, meaning they know what they want in a product. If a game will show itself if its a good or bad game by bad sales, just ask Duke Nukem in comparison to something like NBA 2k series =/ Of course it comes down to gameplay, presentation among other things I won't get into at this point but,if a game isn't broke,it wont be fixed.People control the market, sorry =/
@0sakaBancho Iam not gonna sit here and say SF3 isn't as technical as SF4,that would be a flat out lie if I did =/ But what Iam getting at is the fact that while this game is getting re-release with the intent of showing people why this game was popular in the tournament scene, its in fact a dated game that probably won't be the game that Capcom places all its chips on =/ Hope you understand, but if not Ill continue =/
@zeokenX I understand what you are saying, that a game's quality is proven by how much it sells, but I disagree. Look at how critics review new games, music, and movies. Often times the shitty artists are the ones that make the most money. Take Justin Bieber, or Michael Bay. Most people agree they suck, but they do make bank. The same is true of video games. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it is a better product. It just means it appeals to a wider audience.
@0sakaBancho Exactly which means those same critics have every right to voice their opinions but at the end of the day,the ones that are getting criticized are still getting paid if the mainstream is reached. If Smash sales were different, they would listen to that mainstream audience on what they want but since Brawl sales nearly doubled than those on Melee,Nintendo is most likely to repeat the same concept and listen for things on what they can improve on.At this point its the online play.
@zeokenX you can't compare a tournament to a market. one is decided by the skill of the player, the other relies on a million different factors. it's not so simple as the better product gets the money.
@0sakaBancho The concept of "sticking to whats easy" is comparable =/ Tournament players do show skill but at the same time they choose the easiest character that has fewer flaws to display that skill to the fullest ability to make it easier on themselve and to earn money =/ Brawl as you just told me appeal to a mainstream market which is way much easier than making a game that's strictly for tournament players.Brawl is even outselling SF4 for more proof on that =/ They are comparable =/
@0sakaBancho That's the trend concept if you haven't notice on games nowadays =/ If it has infinite continues, has a steady learning curve and isn't too long or too short to complete,9 times out of 10,the game will sell like hotcakes =/
@zeokenX I wont post anymore after this since my opinion of what makes a game better clearly is not compatible with the mainstream and thus yours. All those qualities you listed are good, but I prefer games that are complex and difficult to play, feels more rewarding when you get good or beat them. I'm sure most tournament players would go back to the older games if they knew it wouldn't kill the scene. Unfortunately it seems the industry as a whole is moving toward pleasing the casual gamer.
@0sakaBancho My suggestion is to play other complex games perhaps =/? Smash Brothers as in entire series was never intended to be a serious fighting game as it steered towards the "giving a noob a chance" ordeal no matter the skill level so 1 person isn't winning due to experience, that was Sakurai's intention from day 1.Both Smash Bros and Melee were rushed titles due to time constrains hence the appearances of all those "techs" =/ The industry knows how to make money at the same time =/
@theothercommentguy 3rd Strike was a Sleeper hit in the states believe it or not,no one gives 2 shits about some tournament scene =/ Makes sense only when you read it out instead of "cattering to one side"
Inoue tried the same strategy against hayao in the next match (kurodas team mate). Hayao destroyed oro pretty hard. :) I guess kuroda lacked patience in this one.
Wow, somebody managed to out-turtle Kuroda. I guess that's one way to beat his Q. It's funny how you forward a minute in and both of their life bars have barely been depleted.
Wow. Incredible respect for Inoue for beating Kuroda, especially whilst using Q. Judging by all the other videos on Youtube, we can see how hard that is.
When Kuroda actually lost I thought a rift would rip open a hole in the space-time continuum and destroy everything in existence.
Inoue was friggan amazing in this match. His zoning was spot on! Granted, this is a pretty easy match for Oro since Q's dash punches are unsafe, but this is fucking Kuroda, the guy who rolls through Chuns and Yuns. Play it safe. Props.
agreed. he stayed out of range whole match and played it smart. If he didnt he couldve easily regretted it. Against Kuroda, i couldnt see any other way to play this match.
It's Q's theme from 3S. In order to get the music in the arcade game you have to get through arcade mode without losing a round (or something like that).
Wow Kuroda lost? Damn... good Oro though. He didn't let Kuroda punish him for being overly aggressive and played very smart. That's what Q basically does- punishes you if you aren't careful. He's too slow to be aggressive, so he relies on you screwing up and then counter-attacking. The Oro did the right thing by just poking and being patient.
wow that oro was so lame, although he was playing it smart and won, I liked the fight with Kuroda Vs Thanatos better though because it had more action.
without offending i type rx vs kuroda since there is no video i watched this instead... _
