@Mornyful The vocalist is Doreen Villiers (she was my father's sister). It was recorded between 1942-44 when she was with ENSA, organised by Geraldo, whose band she sang with rather alot (Sally and Beryl Davies also), but also other bands. Her voice is very soft and easy and most pleasant and melodious, even tho' she had a very tough life. Doreen also sounds very American, but she was from Belfast with a mother from Bristol, so... @Mornyful PS Doreen was usually backed by the Top Hatters, especially on her more jazzy numbers, but I'm not sure if they are 'backing' here.
