This opening of the movie always made me sad because Kida lost her mother and most of the people were killed in the flood.

One of the greatest openings of all Full Lenght animated motion pictures, Disney or not! And, in my opinion, one of the greatest Disney movies ever made! I think the public and the critics at 2001 don't knew to understand how different and special this movie is... Here are one of the best supporting characters in a single movie, a epic adventure story and two main characters who have a enormous chemical. I hope the future puts Atlantis in it correct place as a great Disney Classic!
