  • how old are you? your face looks like you could be in your thirties but your body looks like its 23 or 24

  • Great body dude!

  • good explanation and motion.

but what is the advantage of wide-gripped pullups? why don't you do them with a closer grip?

  • please chekout my clapping pull up, nice job btw

  • it's refreshing to see someone who's huge and ripped not be a cocky asshole, but instead as chill and nice as you. hopefully you're always like this in person too.

  • i would just like to say ur so kind for giving out all this info for free and that your are in VERY good shape and have HUGE muscles. im your bigest fan=-)

  • Do your legs need to be straight when you do pull ups? I'd appreciate any reply. Thanks in advance.

  • they don't have to be but don't move your legs.

  • I've been doing these for a while trying to work up to one armed chins. nice vid btw

  • Hugeeeee lats...jealous

  • You should try to find a way to get a pull-up bar. It is the best exercise for building back strength in my opinion.

  • ..wow.. huge lats

  • Thanks! My fish never seem too impressed so I'm glad you think so.

  • nice Aquarium

  • Good thing I cleaned it before filming!

  • o crap im impressed wow..i wish i was that cut

  • Thanks boss for the great job!

  • It seems these days everybody giving advice is just trying to sell you something. Thanks for the great work!

  • Yor're welcome! As long as people seem to be listening, I'm willing to preach. I just get annoyed that fitness has been turned into a billion-dollar industry and people forget that fitness can be inexpensive/free and fun.

  • what kind of cardio do you do?

  • this is easy

  • Hey Scoob! Love the videos man...alll of 'em. Only thing is, I don't recall hearing you speak of breathing technique during any of the exercises. you may have done so and I missed it - just FYI...thanks

  • Ya know, people make a big deal about the 'right' way to breathe. IMHO, it doesnt matter as long as you dont hold your breath. You can breathe normally, like a choo choo train, or breathe in sync with your lifting - just dont hold your breath.

  • Or you can just get a belt and a chain. Then you can use it for dips too.

  • lookin beefy man! how do you get your wings... your lats? i do wide grip pulldowns and sometimes pullups but i cant get them. any other routines you suggest?

  • very nice!

  • Will cable front pulldown prepare one for chins/pull-ups (same thing, right?)?

  • Yes cable pulldowns are perfect for building strength so you can do pullups. The problem is that few people have the space (or money) for a lat pulldown machine in their home gyms. I do have a simple low cost method that people can use at home also.

  • You read my mind, thats the video I'm going to do next month. Its a simple method you can use to do pullups when you cant lift your own weight but a video is worth a thousand words so I wont attempt to describe it, you will understand why when you see the video. Stay tuned.

  • man, i was wondering if you ever heard about the "Bullworker X5", if yes i'd like to know what you think about it, it's very important for me. thx. and that's a good vid, again...

  • How about some instruction on how to build up to pull-ups. I'm older and trying to used lat pull-downs to work up but it is painfully slow!

  • Thats my next video. Its really dangerous to your joints to try and do pullups if you are not strong enough because you have to cheat and use jerky, swinging, gyrations. Getting injured is not the goal , stronger lats are! Stay tuned for next months video on how to do assisted pullups.

  • Adding weight to pullups is a great idea. If you have someone to gently place it between your legs for you (feet locked with each other like for scissoring), it works better. Another way to do this if you have a tall pullup bar and dumbbells that will stand on end is to put dumbbell on its end (shaft vertical) on the floor and hold it between your feet. That's what I'm currently doing with 'bells up to 70 pounds.

  • Thats a good method too. For those that really dont want to worry about the dumbbell falling, put on a strong leather belt and secure the dumbbell to the belt with rope or chain. I probably should have suggested that.

  • tried this, the weights keep falling off

  • Bend your knees so that your lower leg is parallel to the ground then let the dumbbell slide down so that it is resting on the back of your calves. With the dumbbell in that position, it will stay with no squeezing required. Guess I should have showed a close up of that in the video.

  • Question:

1.)how many slow pull-ups do you manage in total without rest? (without weight)

2.) And at how many slow & smooth pull-ups do you recomment to start with additional weight?

  • I would wait till you can do 10 or more pullups slowly with perfect form before adding any weight. When you add weight, try to do at least 6 reps with the same slow, perfect form. If you cant do at least 6 strict reps then you probably are using too much weight.

  • Great fitness website Scooby! Thanks for sharing.

  • Glad you found my website helpful!

  • whauuw this is the hottest guy on you tube !!!

  • Thank you again!!!

  • Can't you also just buy some ankle weights from a sports store?

  • I could but I already have the dumbbell set. The other problem is that ankle weights dont come heavy enough, I use 45lbs and some advanced athletes us a lot more than that.

  • Thanks so much. Your workouts have made me look great!

  • Thats great to hear!

  • Who needs a gym when you can build a body like that at home!

  • Nice to see you back man. Keep up the great videos to help us train better!

  • I wouldn't be able to do that now - thanks for the video though - i'll def try it when i'm able to do pullups effortlessly

  • awesome, im gonna try this!

  • man awesome to see your back on!!!

  • Thanks, it was a rocky journey from Windows Server 2003 running Roxio to Windows Vista running Adobe Premiere. There was about 6 months when I couldnt make videos.

  • Scooby, you are awesome and very impressive! I really love your videos!

  • cheers
