My eyes are open, I can see it blow in the wind, with my eyes closed and not physical, I feel it beating across my skin, means the realist thing is the unseen, you want 2 “CLICK MY NAME” 2 know what I mean, it is no secret for I HAVE FOUND IT!
@gazchaos Robert pulled it. My wife was the love interest in the video and he felt that she was too young for the video to look believable. Apparently he was lovely to work with but wanted his partner to play the role in the clip.
@Stratoszero The record company I expect. But as it wasn't approved - plus it may not have a final edit, it probably will never see the light of day. i'd love to see it as my wife is in it.
@obehzadi Hi, I don't know if it was *the* video with your wife in it, but I definitely saw *a* video, twice I think, on "The Chart Show". Do you remember it on a Saturdaylate morning?? They used to do that annoying thing to link the songs whereby they fast forwarded the end of the last video if they were running short of time; they did it to this one and I nearly kicked the TV in. BTW your wife must be very special, old Robert didn't pick ugly girls for his vids ;-)
@Stratoszero I remember that show I used to watch it with my older sister when I was only about 10 but all these kinda songs have stuck with me and I love this one :)
This is a great song, with real depth and warmth to it. It has great hooks, the hallmark of all brilliant pop. Effortless brilliance from Mr Palmer. It wasn't a hit because by this time his star was on the wane in terms of chart success, but what matters is that it is an excellent song.
I am 75 years old and first heard Robert Palmer in the 70's. I believe the album was double trouble. I was hooked. Great artist. He was truly original. Thanks Robert
Thanks for posting this, I always have it near me on an MP3.
Does anyone have a copy of the video? I only saw it twice, it looked like an intro to a Bond film, in fact the whole song has a Bond feel about it. Was it written for one and not used?
I absolutely love the 'Honey' album and like websaint i was 18 when this was out too.. 'know by now' was and is such a great song too. brings back great memories for me too. RIP Robert Palmer!!!
Yes, there is a video. VH1 played it on their Top 10 Robert Palmer. That's how i discovered this song :) Also, the song is different than the album version. It's better!
wow.. awesome song..is it nuno bettencourt on guitars? wow .. it been a long time...

@califarkie
Double Fun was the record and even though I think it's one of his weaker efforts it still has several great, interesting tracks.
Most likely you first noticed it because it had "Every Kind Of People".
