While I agree with Wood's conclusion about both Islam and Christianity, Ahmed raises a challenge which does not seem to be addressed. What makes his (peculiar) interpretation any better than Wood's? We could say that Wood has spent more time with the text and so knows it better, but so what? Other people with just as much knowledge and experience disagree with Wood's interpretation. What gives Wood the authority to say that his interpretations are correct?
Nadir seems like he has no power nor does he look like he has any knowledge and it gets worse when he quotes mohammed. Thank you David Wood for your wonderful work in teaching this poor lost soul the Word of God.
Its self evident in how Muslims act when terror groups kill innocent INFIDELS. 9/11, a whole lot of Islamic people were dancing in the streets and cheering after the planes had destroyed the towers, killed 3,000 Americans, and brought the United States into war.
@ajmolaliful he hated christians, he said it many time that he did. just watch this video from 1tmoch so i dont have to type so much, those guys are very smart: watch?v=-EX_jeZ2hB4
The whole time this Nadir guy was mocking the scirptures, all David did was quote the haddith and Nadir called him a mocker?? I would be ashamed too if my book said half the things the quran and haddith say.
Why does Nadir have to keep repeating things that David already explained? Nadir sounds like a broken record.
At least we live in a country where we can talk and debate about these things... Unlike the Islamic nations..
This was just sad, Nadir appears as a complete fool, time and again using "Fond" instead of "Find" or "Found" to make his point was the mark of a desperate man twisting what was written to try to be right. Start off wrong and you end wrong. Besides 2nd Chronicles was written hundreds of years before Jesus was ever born, how he make time an irrelevant factor to try to win an argument is blatant ignorance. Then finally trying to say he was clear and respectful when he wasn't, what an ending
Having watched this debate in it’s entirety I’ve come to the conclusion this Nadir Ahmed guy is tapped in the head...lol This had to be the most one sided debate I have ever seen. David Wood wiped the floor with him
This was one-sided but if you want to see a debate that is perhaps even more one-sided, try David Wood vs. Ehteshaam Gulam on the crucifixion of Jesus.
@CaffeinatedThinking There is nothing in that verse that promotes or encourages violence - it is a PROPHECY not a command & it is a prophecy that those who choose to follow Christ will often be rejected & persecuted by their own families & of the division caused by that rejection. Read the CONTEXT- I see you did NOT include the chapter & verse reference. Try reading ALL of Matttew chapter 10 -which is all about how the followers of Jesus will be persecuted. Try reading verses 16-33! & vs 39-39!
Only ignorant muslims can come up with such crap that Christianity promotes violence. The funny thing about it is that even if it were so, they're the last ones to cry about it! How can someone with a religion with the most UGLYchapter (Surah 9), kill & chop of finger tips etc. be such a hypocrite to point to the speck in his brother's eye whiles not noticing the log in his own eyes. When will this madness end when will God releave us of these muslims. Jesus is Lord & muhammad is a pedophile!
@CaffeinatedThinking There is NOTHING in the teachings of Jesus that advocate violence. His own example and that of the disciples PROOVE that. He himself never killed anyone, He never lifted his hand except to heal. The same is true of every one of his disciples who ALL died a Martyrs death except for John (who was exiled) INCLUDING Paul and they killed no one. The 1st 300 yrs The Christian Church grew while being persecuted themselves.
@ExamineTheTruth where does it say in the in the quran that muslims are to fight for those who are oppressed? is it specific for those (muslims) who are oppressed or those(unbelievers) who are oppressed? please do clarify, do you have the same conclusion as nadir, that surah 9:29 is to protect those jews, who were being persecuted by the evil christians in the 7th century? or as the quran says those who do not believe....
@rshrox well, this is Nadir, so yes I agree with that, and it was proven in the debate that 9:29 ended the genocide of the Jews by attacking the "Nazi" like Christians. David was not able to refute this point. 4:75 has been clearly worded in the Quran for all oppressed people. When God ordered Muslims to fight for those oppressed people, he did not say oppressed Muslims. Rather it is for all oppressed people, that is why Umar stated...we must fight to secure the safety of the non-believers.
@ExamineTheTruth awesome, nice to get to talk to you nadir, in 4:75 talks about the oppressed being those who say "o lord, rescue us from this town, whose people who are oppressors" would not this be the oppressed muslims, or would be those who believe in some foreign god, and allah being the god he is, one who does not love those who do not believe in him, 3:30-32, in the debate, you did not answer why in 9:29 does it say "those who do not believe in allah" as opposed to "those who oppress"
@ExamineTheTruth about christians being cowards, well we are not to fight in the name of christ, as we are to be loving towards enemies (luke6:35), this is also because all have sinned and come short of the glory of god (romans 3:23) that we ought to realise we were once under the bondage of sin, but now thorough the grace of god which is in christ, we have the hope of salvation, so counting ourselves just as evil, just as ungrateful as the oppressors of the innocent, we are not to judge (c)
@ExamineTheTruth (c) allow for the judgement of god, (matt 10:15) do look at verse 16, if you say that peace returning means to be hostile towards those who reject christ, how are we to be harmless as doves, if according to your "common sense" argument that "peace returning" means to allow for hostility to follow, then why does the next verse talk about allowing judgement from god, and for one to be as harmless as a dove? david explained the purpose of governments and that is to deal with (c2)
@ExamineTheTruth (c2) someone like hitler, because he has done crimes against humanity, but as a christian, we are not to fight in the name of christ, or fight those who do not believe in christ, or as the quran says, fight in the cause, if only we took a moment to look in the mirror, we can see that we are just as sinful, just as vile without the grace of god. that is why we are not to fight anyone in the name of christ, or even under the guise of the "innocent people who are oppressed"
The few instances in the BIBLE that "promote violence" are LIMITED to certain cities AND groups of heathens, pagans, etc. IT DOES NOT APPLY TO and CAN in no way be taken as an admonition to KILL ANYONE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE JUST AS THEY DO!!! As for my PERSONAL VIEW, biblical OR NOT, it is this: "ALL THE MUSLIMS SHOULD BE WIPED OFF THE PLANET!!!" "The greatest persecutors are the American Christians...!!!? My response to that is the usual : HORSES***!!!!
I've never seen a Muslim either so thick as to miss the point or one who is so evil to deceive.

When someone uses debate time to assert how well he is doing over and over, he has nothing. He should just be gracious and accept defeat.

Winning arguments:
1. the New Testament calls Christians to be cowards, and just sit back and watch innocent people be oppressed.
2. Islam calls people to fight for those oppressed.
3. 2 Chronicles 15:12-15 clearly states that God(Jesus) became happy when people kill those who do not seek the Lord(Jesus)
